WvW mapping is ridiculous. In order to complete the map, your team has to be doing well that you own the areas with the Points of Interest and the vistas? That doesn’t make any sense for a personal achievement. This is totally maddening; I just have to hope that one day our server will happen to take over the point I need?

Yup, pretty much. I do not see an issue with that though… Your server will eventually have the point you need at some time or another. Or you could lead a force to get the point you need. Part of the challenge to complete the maps.

Do you have to explore unique POIs on all 4 maps, or just a set for the 3 borderlands and 1 for the eternal battlegrounds?

Either way this falls firmly under the “it’s an achievement I should be able to do it by myself” argument. Guess what? There are plenty of things you have to do WITH people, or in the case of WvW / PvP, AGAINST people.

The 4 maps are separate, so you have to map each one. Still, optional achievement is optional.
