Don’t know if this has been suggested before, but I really think the maps need an update or change. For a start it is quite disapointing that there are three maps excatly the same. Four diffrent maps would be much better (with diffrent themes), atm its more like just having two. Another idea is having map sets that change with every WvW reset, this way you could have 3 maps the same but provide a change of scenery.

Well, I think the latter suggestion would be fair, however you should remember that WvW is competitive playing field, and as such, the play and strategy play more important role than scenery.
Therefore, scenery shouldn’t divert one’s attention from the task at hand, and not everyone wants to learn a new map every week.

People who can argue often offer a good and meaningful conversation about the subject.
People who can’t tend to call the opponent troll, scream something utterly incomprehensible
and finally result to personal insults.

Well yes the latter option is better I admit. Strategy ofc is important in WvW as in PvP. However a cycle of say 2 or 3 diffrent maps wouldn’t be too hard to learn and would allow for some diffrent tatics rather than the same old ones used over and over. The map change could be monthly so people get a good play of each.

Strategy ofc is important in WvW .

What strategy?
“guys! there’s an icon on the map saying that our two opponents are doing battle! let’s go <not there> and cap a bunch of stuff!”

This is constant for all maps and I see no reason why it should be said otherwise.

Yeah, I know that happens. But at least in T1 we see some strategies applied as well. And ofc there is the siege positioning, you don’t just throw it at random always.

Well, I’m sure you know what I mean by the knowledge of the maps being important. It’d be difficult if you were defending Durios and tried to get reinforcements, who had no idea where Durios is and can’t find it on their maps.

There’s always tatics (ie the best route to win) and usally this is the tatic of mass in mmo’s (ie zerg). If you chose to call it something else, or nothing or ignore it all togeather then thats up to you. The Art of War applies to everything!

So you are saying people can’t learn to press “M” and read is too difficult? Or do you think everyone else is too dumb to do the option above or even use this memory thing in our brains. Is it really not possible to remember more than 3 maps? Also if you some how find your self running around with brainless goons then they could just zerg on the commander tag using the mini map as a compass. I really would like to think people ain’t that dumb thou and I think it presumptuous to assume people are.
