I think a good fix for the WvW balancing system could be a mercenary system. Essentially, if your server is full you would become a “Mercenary” for another server for a limited amount of time (similar to the overflow server and your own server’s queue could pop to let you into your own WvW match). This would also help teams that are low on members during off hours or for being an underpopulated server, because mercenaries would help fill in their ranks.

The biggest problem I can see is figuring out a way for new people joining a WvW on their own server to get priority over mercenaries without constantly bumping mercenaries in and out of matches.

Now this is interesting idea, only thing that should be there that you couldn’t join against your own home server in WvW – other than that the idea is very good.
