WvW Rangers and pets issue
It makes things interesting and annoying at the same time yes. But, I hope they keep it in….

Okay, so… I recently joined a WvW guild because I found that I ADORE the game type. However… tonight something really annoyed me and I think is a flaw for this game mode. Sorry if anyone else has posted this, but I did a bit of searching and could not find anything about it.
Today, my guild and I were about done for the day. There were only 5 of us left and we were about to be swarmed by about 20 people at our tower. So, we decided to make a stand and make a “killzone” if you will. We had 2 superior arrow carts, 4 arrow carts, and 3 trebuchets. Now, I know we needed more people to effectively win obviously…however. Before they even destroyed our reinforced gate, I see several ranger pets on top of our walls destroying all of our arrow carts. I was told this is the “guard” skill a ranger has for a pet…. needless to say they destroyed several arrow carts that were focused on the gate itself.
So, why does this even work? I understand why the “guard” option is in the game…but it seems to be a major flaw and even a BUG to allow a wolf to be able to somehow magically teleport 30 feet or so in the air onto a structure and destroy siege that actually took time and effort to make. I understand mesmers make clones and can do the same thing pretty much, but at least that makes more sense than teleporting/flying pets.
Why not fix this? Can this be updated? There is no reason why it shouldn’t be fixed. Honestly, to be the devil’s advocate, you might as well allow necromancers to spawn minions on top of the wall as well as elementalists to spawn their summons on top of walls too.
