The real issue is the mistreatment of WvW focused players with regard to badges and the available gear via badges. Servers are full but WvW borderlands are outmanned everywhere. It’s just wrong. Wrong because there are not so many incentives to play WvW and right now is kinda goldsink. They could make everyone happy if they made some simple changes:

1. WvW gear should be bad kitten looking and on par with dungeon gear in terms of creativity and graphical item budget.
2. WvW gear should be available in every possible stat combination at the same cost for each combo.
3. They should introduce Legendary WvW gear that takes a legendary amount of effort to get so that PvP focused players have something simple to work forward. This gear would break the item budget rules just like Legendary weapons do and look appropriately kitten with minimal stat differences.
4. Remove repair cost in WvW. Dont make it gold sink
5. Put more rare drops for killing ppl in WvW and drop at the same lv of the player so that u dont have to farm curseshore after WvW. (People can just focus on WvW if the reward is right)
6. Loot bags to personal bag. Come on, u dont expect people to press F in middle of zergs everytime u kill someone?!

If they did that, then WvW folks wouldn’t be pissed about new dungeon content being added. They wouldn’t feel kitten on because carebear grinding of scripted instances is more highly rewarded than coordinated stategic and tactical efforts over a longer amount of time against human opponents.

To those of us who WvW constantly we could see our opponent charging across the battlefield in legendarily kitten looking gear and say, “Wow, that guy’s done a kittenload of PvP and there’s a decent chance he’s good.”

WvW attendance is on the decline side. We need to make changes! Dont leave us here while u just focus on SPvP,PvE… WvW need improvement too!

1 ,2 and 6 make sense and i agree with.

3 is ridiculous in my opinion , the regular legendary we got now already asks for WvW stuff , why should WvW get one pure for them while PvE player had to do WvW to get theirs? Just no.

4 also ridiculous in my opinion , there should be a cost for the lesser transportation you make in WvW , PvE player spend on WP , WvW on repairs and so on.

5 this would need to be VERY BALANCED but possible , makes sense players dont need to farm cursed shore at all to begin with. Be it WvW or PvE players.

Most people WvW…only because they love WvW. If you need rewards then you are doing it wrong. I just like killing people, so I play occassionally for that reason alone. Mind you I also spvp and pve. Why limit yourself?

WvW is dying because its design is flawed, it was dying before that due to hacking and a flaw in the design that made comebacks nearly impossible.

Now there’s no mechanic in place to fight back of course its going to slowly fade away.
If they want to fix WvW, fix the way territory control is handled and how bonuses are given to people within the realm. If you’re already winning you dont need a win-harder buff you should be rewarded with more magic find or slightly stronger keep lords. Not everyone getting +150 stats. That’s what needs to be on the losing realms side so as to give them the shot to fight back even when outmanned.

I definately agree with not making people press F after each kill.. ive died multiple times with a bag of my own loot right next to me but i cant get it because i died and i can never go get it. It gets me so upset. And i also agree with the legendary items for legendary effort and also i REALLY agree with making the items the players drop rarer and therefore making it at least so you make a little bit of money or break even because just through armor repairs im losing money.

This I agree with. WvW doesn’t honestly need huge rewards. It already has the lion’s share of titles.

WvW has always been about the thrill of fighting other players DAoC style.

However balancing factors need to be in. Sides on the weak end need stronger guards and stronger commanders. The weakest side needs the stat buff. The side sitting in the best position should be getting MF and other fluff bonuses.

I agree with 1, 2, 5 and 6.

WvW also need some improvement for re-zerging, more reasons to fight in smaller groups.

Commander – oh pls! Why not give them real raid-party mode, 20-25 slots. Mechanism similar to SW:TOR raid would be enough. The party size should be increased to 8-10 for regular players.
