WvW --> reward chests for winning server
The problem that I see with this is that the market is cross-server. All of the people who are on the server would be receiving something that might imbalance the market, seeing as you’re including a massive group of people who might not even have participated in WvW in the first place (lets say 50K+ people per server).
I think your idea has some momentum, but needs some work. How about the winning servers get to participate in an event that week which then whittle down the number of people who have a chance of a precursor? This will avoid a tip in the market.
I like the idea but maybe a different route. How about instead of easy cash gain for individual people the guilds on that server get a certain bonus influence maybe a few guild banners for free. Make it proportionate per server ie 10k influence for winning server 6k for second place server and 3k for third place server. Numbers aren’t exact but meant as an example.
Thanks, well what is given is debatable and up to Anet. I just think the winning server should have “something” for a weeks long of group effort. Guild influence is an interesting concept.
How about everyone on the winning server, gets +1 laurel for that week.
I think it would be a real incentive, as getting laurels is a slow business, but wouldn’t upset the economy, most would be spent on personal gear/minis/cat tonic…
Laurels + influence or laurels + T6 mats seems like a good choice to me. More ways to get laurels = good in my book!
