When a server is 100k point lead, there is very little point for the other server to try harder.

Even if the other server capped the entire map. They will not win anyways. After the few days after reset night, WvW will feel dragged out and boring. There is very little drive to win.

My suggestion:

Keep the same scoring system. After 24 hours, the server with the highest points will gain one win point. The server with the most win points win the weekly match.

Let say at Saturday, Red has 2000 pts, Blue has 1000 pts, Green has 3000 pts. Green gain one win point.

On Sunday, Red has 4000 pts, Blue has 1000 pts, green has 1000 pts. Red gain one win point.

On Monday, Red has 0 pts, Blue has 10,000 pts, green has 0 pts. Blue gain one win point.

Fast forward:

Red has 2 win points, blue has 1 win points, green has 4 win points. Green wins the weekly match.

Next week:

Red and Green both have 3 win points and Blue has 1 win point.

Red has a total of 100,000 pts and Green has a total of 105,000 pts. Green wins the weekly match.

Why?

Everyday is a push towards winning. If the two losing servers are far behind in points, they can push to win tomorrow. It will break the WvW casual’s losing mentality and give them a drive for their server’s success.

Unfortunately this doesn’t address the server-wide ranking just your own Tier. How would they figure out who’s moving up or down with this system.
