Platoons would be very similar to parties but with a few changes to make them ideal for WvW without having a mess of multiple five people parties. First off, platoons would be able to hold many more people (suggestions for how many exactly?) and would use the simple party list to fit everyone on the screen. Secondly, only commanders would be able to create platoons. Platoons would also not be able to enter dungeons but would be able to be used in normal PvE. The people in your platoon would still show up on the map just like in a party but possibly a different color. Tell me what you think or any changes you would make. Thank you!

You can join a commander’s squad.

Yeah it would work the same way as a party except the platoon needs to be first made by a commander. After that anyone can invite or join. And if the commander leaves the platoon, it will be disbanded.

Oh one more think popped into my mind: while in a platoon, you will be able to see all of your platoon’s siege equipment on the map. The should also be different icons for in construction, finished and maybe one for in use.
