WvWvW in 100% Map Completion
Actually that is a good idea. But they don’t need to make it an instance, they just need to actually put that place on the map and let us go there just like any other PvE zone. Perhaps simulate what WvWvW is like, but with NPCs instead of players, and have events happening at the towers, forts, ect.
Well; my option is more of using a majority of what’s already in the game, to prevent the programmers from having to create entirely new maps.
I really must admit, I had this exact same Idea earlier today. I’ve been biting at the bit for the last few months, dreading every moment that I knew I’d have to go to the WvW maps to get my completion. I get there, my frame rate drops almost immediately, I get mobbed the moment I approach any type of PoI/vista/skill point that isn’t directly inside my team’s forts.
I found that I positively abhorred heading towards something, get killed, only to have to go back to the most inconveniently placed waypoint and try again. Rinse, lather, repeat. I finally gave up and went to play some TF2.
So, removing the WvW map requirement would make me so happy. Or fixing it to where it doesn’t feel like I’m getting a root canal without any anesthesia like making it “PvE-able” for those who don’t wish for that pain.
Here’s to hoping this picks up some steam. I really just don’t want to ever go back to WvW.

I don’t ever want to go back to PvE but yet anet keeps forcing me so suck it up and deal.
This was actually the one that seemed to be the most recently active. That’s why I posted to it, though I could have dug a little deeper. Mais, C’est la vie.
I am imploring that ANet removes WvWvW maps from the 100% map completion achievement. It is greatly aggravating being literally blocked from content for weeks, even months. On top of that this is FORCING players who like being completionists in PvE content to PvP to get the completion from a task that is very annoying and a chore as it stands currently.
As logic stands; it doesn’t even make sense to have these maps count toward the achievement; as they are NOT part of the world that you actually explore during everyday game play (unless you like to roam in WvWvW).
If it isn’t removed; at least make a compromise to the map exploration. Give us a neutrality option to prevent us from being ganked; and grants us access to ALL of the PoI’s and Vistas. This could be done by making instanced versions of these maps in which only other neutral players can access. This could be queued for by placing a check box in the WvWvW window that would signify you want to be a neutral party, and thus be placed in the instanced versions of the maps. This would prevent people from “spying” on the other worlds; and still allow players who are only there to complete maps, to do so in peace.
i realy agree with them its been a week now i try to complete my map and because of wvw i cannot and its pretty bad i think, how you think i can take a tower alone to just finish my vista and view point and its not because i dont pass time on wvw i pass each day there to think have a chance to do it but no , so its realy anoying and boring, i’m sure we are not alone to have the same probleme,

GW2 is an MMO … the second M is for MULTIPLAYER … ie: not everything is meant to be done solo.

Truthfully there is no reason for you to get snippy or rude at this post. Just because you are loud; doesn’t make you important enough to influence people by attacking them.
I posted this SUGGESTION in the SUGGESTION forums. I’m sorry I don’t feel like routing through hundreds upon hundreds of forum threads to find one w/ similar wording or topic content.
I stated my case and/or opinion of it; then gave solutions or ways to improve it in a constructive manner.

That’s a known troll, just ignore them.
I agree, enough of the wvw requirement already. And give the wvw’ers some fresh baked cookies to soothe their little egos when you take it out of wvw too. They will only cry for a little while once they realize it takes some of the queue load off and people leeching maps just to get completion done.

I’d like to see wvw and pve completion separated as well
Perhaps make it separate achievements with the known * for pve and °(small world icon) for wvw next to it.
with each separate rewards (some blueprints or personalized instanced barracks for wvw)
It can really give a headache if your server is constantly outnumbered in wvw…
2 total different areas of the game..
And why force players into wvw?make it more inviting if anything.

I agree that WvWvW should be removed from 100% Map Completion. What makes no sense to me is that Dungeons, amongst other things, do NOT count for 100% Map Completion yet WvWvW does. Coming from a server with a WvWvW population density severely outmatched by a rival server makes it near impossible to capture their towers on their borderland and in EB.
WvW PoIs don’t actually force people to PvP. WvW is actually still a PvE area with open PvP enabled. All you have to do is have the area already owned and you get it. You don’t have to personally participate.
The only problem with WvW in world completion is that you are subject to the ranking system actually giving you a chance to win enough to eventually get all of the points.
The problem here is not that WvW is necessary for world complete, it’s that the WvW brackets need a lot of work to keep things consistently fair.

It was annoying for me to have to switch servers for a week to get the remaining completion for EB, and now that transfers are paid, it’s flat out unfair that you need to pay gems to get completion. I’d actually prefer WvW stay in completion so that PvE completionists like myself are forced to try out their trademark PvP. To be honest, I’m not much of a PvP person, but WvW is quite fun when I get bored of the usual Orr/FotM grind.

Technically you’re supposed to switch color regularly. Your color defines your starting location for each of the four maps. The problem is that it seems to be random, and since you have a 33% chance to be any color you tend to repeat colors alot. I think it would be better if it was a cycle so that every week you were the next color, unfortunately that also can’t work because you could change brackets and join with someone else that was that color. But there is probably a way to make it more consistent.

Unfortunately that’s not how the colors are decided. The color is decided by your score in the bracket (1st = green, 2nd = blue, 3rd = red). It isn’t randomly decided. If it were, it wouldn’t be as mush of an issue, but my server, Blackgate has spent the last few months either in 1st place on one tier or 3rd place in the tier above it. I haven’t been able to even come close to completing blue territory because my team is never in 2nd place. Now with Kaineng putting up a decent fight in T2, my hopes of capping blue keep in EB are out the window.
finishing these maps can really give a headache if your woldcolor in wvw stays the same for a long time and if the forts you need are always taken.
Checking in wvw just to see if these points are available over and over is just not fun.
Perhaps you should be able to enter as a spy at least ,or carrying a white flag or something..so you can just do map completion.
But it are 2 separate areas of the game and thats why the completion for these 2 areas should be separated
