add some blood effects in this game
Great idea but not sure if they will add it
We certainly need some blood. It will be even more fun to fight, if rival will be bleed.
Someone please think about the children

Someone already said, that there should be “parental control” button!
It can be attached to the language filter. Bleed condition <3 25 stacks = fountain of blood
i played wow and tera and they both have some blood effects. tera even have decals that splatter on ground
the auto attack on warrior swords has a bleed animation.
I would recommend looking into sclerite weapons as they look like they have blood coming off them constantly ( my thief uses a sclerite sword of bloodlust)
Karl Marx: “Go away! Last words are for fools who haven’t said enough!”
Yeah it’s all a bit lame and sterile, but I guess it’s aimed at kiddies (What are we doing here).
But yeah we’ve had blood and gore in games like Diablo, Neverwinter Nights, Kingpin (oops showing my age), and plenty of other games, lets face it this is all fantasy anyway.
But it’s not going to happen, what’s it rated 13 ?
I realize the blood effects on that sclerite skins aren’t amazing but I believe its the best we got.
This being said I think it would be equally bad for a weapon to bleed too much and just be over the top.

When zergs collide……..
Oh the humanity
when the waters turn red in all the borderlands it will be too much

nah, wrong game and would cause too much lag

Isle of Kickaspenwood
already a bunch of effects in game. a little extra blood not gonna cause lag
or make the blood effect client side only
I would pay for some Blood in this game. Until now i didnt bought anything for real money in guild wars 2!
Many off the games with blood effects get rating 16 (mature), while GW2 has rating 12 (Teen). This opens up a larger amount of potential players.
This rating is based on whats possible in game, so making it optional wont change the new rating. For example, making it possible to install an unauthorized mod to unlock hidden features (the hot coffee mod in GTA San Andrea) was enough to change that games rating.
So adding such an option would change the rating

This^^^^ +1 to you
Its says on the box: T, Blood, Mild language Use of Alcohol, Violence.
Having the extra blood wouldn’t hurt seeing its already on the box descriptor.
First off all, not all boxes are the same, in Europe a different rating system is used compared to the US. Mine is not saying blood. However it is the amount that decides the rating. Adding this option will very likely move it into the mature rating for ESRB and 16 for PEGI.
On top of that it can make resellers decide to not sell it anymore and locking out many potential buyers. all cause people wanted a bit more special effects.

Even though the higher player age rating due to the inclusion of blood effects could exclude some buyers, it can also attract those who want a more mature game. Not to mention many kids want to play adult games these days and there’s not much in the way of preventing them from buying such games.
When I was a kid I was attracted to playing games with blood effects even though the ratings were much higher than my age. I always found a way to get my hands on those games.
On another note, what if we take baby steps and 1st add-in spit and sweat of white colored liquids spewing from the enemy when attacked? This is what they did with the game Mortal Kombat 1.
heh, digital blood is bad but seeing ppl blow to pieces on the internet is no problem at all, shows how lame the ESRB rating really is.
same with boobies, you can cut someone’s head of, rip them in tiny bits and eat them afterwards but show a nipple and the whole world explodes. -_-
This will never happen because it means the age rating for the game would need to be re-reviewed. Also countries like Germany are really anal about gore in games (even though they don’t seem to care about movies).
