But if Ascended armor would “level-up” as the content get harder, wouldn’t that just make the content just as hard as the first time you did it?
For example, a Boss does 4k Dmg per hit, with ascended armor he only does 3K dmg per hit.
As the content becomes more difficult, the boss now does 5K Dmg per hit, however, since you armor “Leveled-up” the increased stats from you now “Ascended lvl2” armor would lower the damage taken back to 3k, thus not really increasing the difficulty.
Ofc it could scale in a way where the Lvl 2 ascended would only lower it to 3,5K.
That way it would still become harder, and your ascended would still level up. But then Why not just increase the boss damage from 4k to 4,5k to begin with? It would have the same outcome anyhow ^^

The most easy way to get a full exotic set of armor should actually be AC. Whatever, if you want an Arah-set, you will get the set (so far you dont get another exotic set first) after you made the (hard) Arah-dungeon. So it would be far better, to have the stats first.
Or to say it in another way, if you can reduce the damage from 4k to 3k, you shouldnt get the reducer as a reward after doing it.
Furthermore the Levelsystem has two thoughts behind it. Exotics in areas for Levels far lower than 80? Hilarious easy, right?^^. After the ascended stuff is even better, the disabled stats through higher levels will at least be a weak countermeasure…
I mean the level 80 wont change, downleveling is no use… if with each new hard content the stats increase, may some day arah will feel like a starterarea… And if you didnt understand, i said the levels will only take action if they are needed. If you can get 3 Levels in the lost shore dungeons, after entering it again these 3 levels are disabled for the easy part.
And if they say harder, i think they mean harder. The levels are not thought like already 100 levels only for the lost shore dungeon but each time they want to increase the difficulty again. I dont mean something like increasing damage and reducing it to the same damage through better armor again…
What i mean is new content where even your actual max-stats seem low compared withe the other content before and the better stats will may help, but cant change (like the actual dmg is 3k, the new harder dmg is 4k, but better stats will only reduce it to 3,9k and further levels, that could reduce it to 3k again, wont be activated at this difficulty)
