alright i admit i like being able to not have to grind. it has numerous advantages not the least of which it saves time and repetition. however i cant play many areas of the game. why? because no one else is ever there and i end up getting ripped apart by mobs no solo player can handle. the most recent event being the dredges , and how 3 pop up halfway through the fight with the first two and are immeadiatly aggroed.

now i can either form a party, which totally defeats spontinaity of DE, and because of the games mechanics is less rewarding than well thought out trinity teams (but it is also much less frustrating that poorly put together teams). these 40-65 level areas are vacant. now there are two fairly simple solutions that dont involve adding more rewards thus upsetting the economy. 1 bring back the grind. so that levels actually matter. time wasting , repetition you name it. on that points defense i find myself not exploring anyway because i cant solo and have to go where the groups are anyway so it does get repetitious anyway. or a second one with less impact all around and less planning needed. leat me be 6-7 levels higher with the adjusted levels if i already have met those requirments. this way i can explore all the areas i dont now. because i wont need anyone else. downsides to this are farming these areas will be much easier and hi mid level items will become more common and thus go down in value… but it wont effect end game items at all. which is what most want anyway.

just let me play your game anet. i want to play it. your community wont let me so im asking you. and if it so happens 2 explorers meet in such an area just adjust their levels accordingly. so that its easier with them there but the individual is less powerful.

I will freely admit that dredges are dreadfully annoying though – however, I’d much rather see that handled by adjusting the respawn rates or – even better! – making the respawn rates dependent on player activity/presence in the vicinity.

The point with the lvl 40-65 areas is also that there are quite a lot of them – and if you are not going for 100% map completion, you really don’t need to visit each of them, as your personal story will only touch a few of them. And even people going for 100% map completion are often just trying to finish the maps as fast as they can…

Don’t worry, once ANet adds a legendary that requires Dredge Lodestones, you’ll see people flocking to the dredge.

Just because you can waltz through content, it doesn’t mean we all have to suffer for it. You want Grind then go play one of those other MMO’s like Shaiya, or Perfect World, etc. They will give all the grind your heart desires. Then you can come back to GW2 forums, and complain about how grindy they are.

The only thing Anet really has to do for those supposive grindy NPC’s is decrease there spawn rate. There is no reason what so ever to make the annoying NPC’s respawn so fast on your head.

I can see both points of view, but of the two—it really is the ridiculous respawn rates that ruin the experience and fun of the game when solo.
