Does anyone else agree with me that just one bank “account” for all the character that you can generate is enough space?? would it not be better if each character had its own Bank? I find it quite hard for the non stackable items to be stored in the bank, all the crafting space is great, but once you hit 250 of each one where to put it?? what of the various items you need to craft your weapons./armour/gems etc, there just isnt enough space if you have 2 or more characters sharing a bank, Is there any thought to this by the devs?? What do the players think??

The thought is the more characters you have, the more space you need, and is probably the one part of the game where spending gems is closer to a necessity than to a frivolous desire. I’m OK with it – even in GW1 you only got more bank tabs through buying the sequels or outright buying the bank slots. That we get free mat storage up to one stack for every normal and fine material except a handful of the rare materials is reasonable.

So I agree that no, one tab is not enough space for more than one character (or even for one character). But you can still use an alt as a mule or spend coin on gems and buy tabs if you don’t want to spend real money (which I did, being the frugal person that I am).

Where/how do you buy more bank slots? I would be willing to do that since my bank is constantly full and I have to unload things I’d rather keep. But I have not been able to find where to go to buy more bank slots. If they are in the gem store, what are they called? Thanks anyone!

Agreed. I have looked in the gem store, and I must be missing it.

There is a little lock under the last bank slot when you open the bank. When you click on it you can buy an additional bankslot for 600 gems.

So far my experience has been the more bank slots you have the more you need. I bought one extra tab and thought that would be more than enough. Now I’ve got four that are full, and none of it’s stuff I want get rid of. Hopefully they’ll go on sale this weekend, but for some reason I doubt it will happen.

The more bank slots the better in my opinion=) The only problem is the gem store, the price to trade gold for gems keeps rising everytime, at the moment you only got 70 gems for 1 gold. So mayby if the gems gets cheaper, its accessible for more players to buy bank slots. In my opinion you can keep 1 ‘bank account’ ascross you characters but it would be nice if the materials slots will be expanded for more then 250 items at 1 time. Also if they introduce more material slots for different products like the new exotic plant it saves alot of bank space.

You are limited to the number of bank slots you can buy. However you can always make a guild with just yourself as a member. You can buy influence, iirc1 gold for 500 influence, and get storage that way. You can get up to 200 slots that way and you can make as many guilds as you like. However you can’t put account bound or soulbound items in there.

I absolutely love the account bank! It is so nice to have all my stored items available to all of my characters, especially the crafting items in the collections. I have bought extra bank slots twice now and I have plenty of space for the things I am saving, since the items I save most are in collections and don’t use a regular bank slot.
