I know new races wont be implemented for a while but instead of just adding a race it would be great if you had to unlock them by doing a quest. For instance the largos on wiki says "The ocean depths of their origin have unknown “horrors” which caused them to leave." if u had to get rid of these “horrors” to unlock the largos as a playable race.

that might annoy new players who would then have to create a character play till whatever level this would require , to only then get to play the race they want.

For older player … well guess it would not matter , we would just use our char and open it

Why unlock it?

Have it so the Largos starting area is you escaping from these ‘horrors’.

it may annoy some ppl but i know i would rather fight for it and maybe races can be sold in gem store for the ppl it does annoy

In my opinion the problem is a but bigger than that. It is a big problem if it annoys the new players directly at the start like that.

Also simple adding to the shop would not work to me either. One thing is to say to the player he needs the expansion X to have access to the Y race. Another is the say they need to buy each race individually from the shop after they just got the game and the exps packs.

To me , the possible drawback in attracting new players to the game , makes this idea not worth it.
