Hey anybody think its a good idea for anet to include a dueling system. So you can walk up to anybody anywhere and duel one another. At least make it available in the mists what do yall think?

why not? id say at least in the mists to practice with your team members in between matches or in the WvW instead of always jumping in pvp rooms which sometimes just feel completely non organic

I do agree, I would have no problem with dueling as long as it was in the Mists or some designated area. Open world dueling, even with auto-decline options breeds a toxic environment.

I’m in favor of dueling. I’ve never seen a negative to any optional dueling in any games I’ve played.

As long as it doesn’t have a pop up option that would be fantastic. I would hate to be in PvE and have a troll challenge me to a duel and accidentally duel him by unknowingly clicking accept. And also in fractals, WvW citadel, and in lions arch it shouldn’t be allowed to duel, other that it would and amazing implement to test your skills.

Exactly i agree with dustfinger i have never seen or even felt anything negative about dueling and to neek i agree as well about the pop up. it shouldnt just pop up in the middle of the screen or anything like that. WvW maybe you should be given the option at least in your server controlled areas?

As long as its kept in PvP land have at it just keep it out of PvE

ooo good find. I like that he acknowledges custom pvp games “you can kinda duel now with custom games, but it is kinda awkward.”
