Guild Wars 2

i didn’t play guild wars 1 but i feel that in gw2 dyes should be able to be used by all ur characters. you shouldn’t have to get a whole new set of dyes for a new character. i think dyes should be account bound and able to be used by all your characters. anyone else feel the same way?

Gem-store aside, chefs can make dyes. If they are account-bound then slowly, the need for dyes disappears and it stops being a tradeable commodity.

Also, part of the fun is collecting things like this. It adds another element to the game to have to search for the item you want, including dyes.

I actually like having each character have to find the dyes individually. It keeps the market for dyes going and it gives me a reason to have different color schemes for each of my alts.

Why should you be able to find one Abyssal dye and get to apply it to every character you make in the future? I know they aren’t as rare as other things, but it should be a little uncommon to see characters running around the rare dyes.
