first off i love the idea of your jumping puzzles and agree they should be challenging. however i also think the reward should match the difficulty. i recently played one in the asuran starting area with windy vines. one area of the vines had wind pushing backwards on the path that was very glitchy. then after getting to an asura gate at the end of this puzzle i was rewarded with "error gate improperly aligned wtf?

if this was a joke or deliberate design its in poor taste.

also why arent jumping puzzles listed on the map? id like to find all of them. keep them seperate from map completion by all means. but let us that want to find and do them know. also a completed feature for them would be nice. to keep 100% fanaitcs from complaining about how jumping puzzles are too hard and they dont like them showing up on the map as incomplete even though you dont need them either disable a completed/incomplete feature for them or make it a toggleble map option that you have to dig for in options to turn on as it is off by default.

just a thought. could give free bunny ears for completing them all maybe?

The jumping puzzle you are talking about works like this; for each level, you need to take a different path to find the crystal/control panel-thing that gives you an attunement that allows you to travel through the gate and onto the next level.

And the whole charm about the puzzles is that they are hidden. I found one by accident by falling down a small hole behind and under some bushes while I was kiting trolls around. It just makes the experience more exciting. But if you do not want to look for them yourself, the Wiki is listing known puzzles if you search for a zone.

The jumping puzzle you describe actually demands that you attune the asura gate first. For every challenge in that area, there is an obvious path leading to the gate, and a less obvious path allowing you to attune to an element. So yes, it is deliberately designed like that. But you didn’t understand the puzzle.

Regardless, I think this particular jumping puzzle could use some tweaking, because the automatic respawn doesn’t always work. Often I would fall down, and simply have to start over completely. The jumping puzzle is supposed to teleport you back to the start the moment you fall, but it doesn’t always work. I often just crash to the ground, forcing me to go back to the way point.

Its a good jumping puzzle though, one of the more interesting ones, but there are some bugs.
