frostfang needs some love
No offense, but frostfang should not be first.. Look the minstrel. It has a few notes popping out of it (Which bugs out all the time) so it has like no effects.
Frostfang has the hand in ice, footsteps, breathing ice and it moves. Its one of the better legendary, really..
you mention people hardly notice your frostfang… Its not like everyone say “Nice legendary” to you… That was the first month, now that legendaries are so normal, people just don’t think its so special anymore. offhand weapons that are quite cheap and easier to make shouldnt be as nice as the main offensive ones in my opinion. of course, it could use a little work too, i’ll admit, but at the same time, both of them are no twilight, or bolt, or incinerator.
they dont get incredibly pretty, flashy effects. the ice arm is hardly a “cool” effect to me, as well. it’s just a suggestion, and one i think is needed in their legend update

you should look at meteorlogicus if you think that frostfang is lacking, least the minstrel is underused since its a focus and is hardly payed attention to.
im asking for it to be included in the make overs some are getting, not take priority. i honestly don’t care which others are lacking, as they aren’t the one i use. if i/people cared about seldom used magic weapons, and i actually had one, i would be tooting a different horn.

could we stick to the topic at hand rather than complain about other legendaries no one even makes?
Like others have said, I think the Minstrel and the Metereologicus need to be a much higher priority instead of Frostfang. If anything, I have seen some of those two in-game but I have never seen someone with Frostfang, so I guess it’s not something ArenaNet has to work with right now.
IMO, it would be a nice reward if the Minstrel not only worked as a focus, were given footsteps and had the notes effects fixed, but also if it could be turned, when players wanted, from a common focus into a musical instrument sounding like a harp. It would make it a very unique Legendary, the exclusive way to have a cords-based instrument, and it would really fit the weapon.

I have Frostfang myself, and I’m not sure you’re suggestions are necessary. A passive chattering noise might get quite annoying, it already gives Whirling Axe a trail if Frostfang itself is in your offhand, enemies already display chilled death animations when they die, and the breath is pretty balanced where it is.
The only changes I think are important, is to give offhand Frostfang the ice arm effect, and maybe make the trail of Frostfang’s attacks be a passive effect (as in a constant trail like sunrise/twilight).

I kind of agree about frostfang needing a change. I dont have one but everytime i see it on others i look at it and say wow thats a cool looking weapon but its not much different from other “ice” axes. It doesnt distinguish itself from other axes as well as other legendaries do. it really does need some improvements.
