gaining magic find for being offline
There’s a similar mechanic already. When you use a buff like MF, then log off while it’s still in effect, the timer pauses.
That isn’t a similar effect. That isn’t what I meant.
I just wanted to make it easier for ppl who aren’t ingame as regularly as those ppl without a real-life to get the loot they want.

So….you’re saying there should be an incentive NOT to log in? That seems like a GREAT idea!!!!

Logic will never win an argument on the forums…..only a sense of entitlement will.
Okay, if you play 24/7 you will still have an advantage. You will find more golden items in total.
The player who couldn’t play for 24 hours will get a Magic Find boon for 24 minutes so that he can catch up to the 24/7 player.
It is a compensation for not being able to play as much as other players.
I started laughing when I read the title of this thread.
This game is already tailored for casual players but that is too casual.
They have to draw a line someplace and to reward you for not playing is on the side of the line not to expect to see
To what end?
GW2 is already friendly to casual players in that it doesn’t take a lot of effort to obtain the top end gear in this game even with a few hours a week.
Players that spend hours a day in the game grinding and finding loot will earn more gold than players that can barely play, and so they should.
Players that spend hours a day in the game will have their Legendaries quicker, and so they should. As it stands Legendaries offer no advantage over any other exotic that can be easily obtained by casual players.
Sounds like another suggestion from a player wanting their cake and eating it too. Some things in this game you will have more of the more hours you spend playing e.g. gold. Huge piles of gold are not necessary to compete with others or to enjoy all the content in GW2.
