get rid of stealth revealed
Instead:
- stealth doesn’t drop your target.
- targetted skills become dumb-fire on stealthed targets (as if no target was selected). This way you can instantly react to something coming out of stealth without being forced to manually re-target your target.
That’s what’s annoying about stealth: the game forcing a target drop. Not the fact that he is invisible.
I would think that is one of the main objectives to going into stealth beyond just going invisible. Skill is working as intended.

You forgot about call targeting.
Even more annoying is the fact that on-target skills are effectively interrupted by the target entering stealth, but they go on full cooldown.
stealth just shouldn’t be in the game. Period.

I disagree. Having to reselect a target (which alot of the time you don’t actually have to do anyway) is no where near as irritating when fighting someone as them constantly popping stealth and resetting the fight.
Further, if you can be targetted you’re not actually invisible even if you lack a visible model. Everything you can target ends up with a little arrow above it thus you’d know their exact location rendering stealth useless.
I sympathise in a way as personally if i were to make an mmo i wouldn’t include stealth at all as it makes balancing even more of a nightmare and is more likely to result in higher frustration of those fighting stealth classes than non-stealth classes.
taking a page out of the nerf to RTL which now has a 40sec CD if you do not hit an enemy i propose the following change to stealth.
if you go stealth and get hit you come out of stealth, the reveal debuff lasts 100% longer and all stealth abilities cd are increased by 100% there problem solved.
- It rewards skillful players that do no get hit.
- and punishes those that do get hit.
Some classes rely on target dropping.
Mesmer’s have a defensive skill called “decoy”, which causes the real mesmer to become cloaked, and leaves a clone at their original location.
Obviously if you didn’t drop the original target, then the decoy is absolutely meaningless.

If you can still have a target lock on someone in stealth, that means you can still track them. If you want to suggest that, then I propose that all Warriors get a stealth skill with a Backstab mechanic. Fair is fair.

nah it’s okay for stealth to be in the game, what’s wrong is developers not giving all classes effective counters (something like “see invisibility” potions/skills/whatever)

Wouldn’t work because any AOE skill will hit any stealthed object without prejudice, no skill there. I don’t like stealth either, but, it’s working as intended and it works well.

It doesn’t need to even be all professions just several. If half of all professions could through skills and/or traits it should work well. Rangers and engineers are what i’d suggest. Rangers’ hounds should be able to by default anyway ‘cause they’re dogs!

Really? Skillful? You realize how many AoE skills there are?
How about l2p people, stealth reveal is very limited anyways (trap, and ac). You really have nothing to be complaining about other than to be complaining for fun. Want advice on dealing with stealthed enemies? Ask them, or a guildie, or play one yourself. Stop blaming your desire to button smash on being laid out by the squishiest profession in the game.
These nerf stealth posts are getting old, no one seems to be posting a reasonable change. They just want to double the reveal and half the stealth, or remove the stealth, or make stealth not really invisible, or make damage reveal you and put everything on cooldown…
break. I feel like they should be back by now..”

No. Not if done properly.

Good point. This might be the only exception in the game though.
