Maybe a rare boss drop, or a part of some new achievement reward for frequenting Ascalonian catacombs.
Or some rune with possible graveling ally spawn, like the golemancer rune from CoE… I just love that crazy murdering bot appearing in the least desirable moments.

It could be just a new dungeon reward for tokens for playing the Ascalonian Catacombs ..

so simple and it woudl give again a little incentive to play the dungeon to get some unique rewards out of them, other than just only the armor sets…

The Dungeon rewards are mostly currently laughable and need to be improved alot, to keep players interested in playing all of the dungeons….

But what do you do with all o the rewrds, when you have already the armro set, the recipes, the thigns for legendaries ect. all the rest of the rewards are a waste of tokens or just plain junk

ANet could make dungeo nrewards so much more appealign and interesting.

So much stuff that could be added as token rewards from playing the dugneons:

- more new weapon/armor sets
- more new runes and sigils
- special minipets
- special finishers
- special back items
- special aqua breathers
- special boosters and buff items

Currently the rewards of dungeons are threated, like some kind of unwanted stepchild.
Its something of the game, that definetely needs more attention.

aside from playing the tradepost, dungeons are, hands down, the best source of gold, karma, XP, mats (depending on the level), rare or higher drops, etc in game, and all from one source. dungeons are not broken by any means and there’s plenty to do with the tokens. granted maybe a cool dungeon inspired mini for each dungeon could be really cool and i like the breather and back items as well but dungeons are VERY efficient and don’t need any kind of radical overhaul nor does the token system. the last dungeon/token overhaul we had was a HHHHUUUGGGGEEE nerf so i’d rather the devs just stay as far away from dungeon rewards as they can really for fear of what they might do next.

also I don’t know if anyone else noticed the stealth nerf they pulled whenever (i’m guessing Dec. 10th but I didn’t get to play much through the holiday) but now all of a sudden dungeon runners are getting locked out of groups for “you have joined too many groups recently. please wait a while and try again.” this is appauling to me as outside of pvp, dungeons are what I like to do and this really got me irritated to be doing some of my daily dungeon paths and all of a sudden i find I can’t finish my last couple before the reset because I’m locked out of joining a group. Idk what the opposite of the ‘Midas Touch’ is but GW2 Dev staff have a wicked case of it. Maybe I’ll coin a new phrase…“The GDubs Touch”: a curse where everything you apply yourself to, interact with, or get your hands on turns to a pile of shiz. It’s like we’re constantly zooming in on our binoculars towards the future so we don’t notice the fact that we’re constantly walking backwards. in closing, I’d rather, apart from maybe adding a new one, they should just leave dungeons alone the best they can so I can have something to do when I need a break from stomping corpses.

Great idea. Easy and neat. Maybe they can make an “adversary/boss” pet for every dungeon.
I think there would be less than a manhour effort for them to implement what you suggest.

@ TMan, that has been made to stop the griefing of players who just joined groups over the LFG tool, so that their lfgs disappear from the list, just to leave the group instantly again.

Was just a logical change that had to be made. Requestionable is only, if Net had to do this realy stealthy, if there was a reaso for this, or if they did just forgot to mention this change in the patch list.
You know, the person who makes those patch notes is a HUMAN also only and can forget things …
I find this behavior horrible, how people pretend always, as if everythign what Anet does must always be perfect and without any slightest mistakes.

And the rewards of Dungeons are junk, once you have everything that the current list provides, that is interesting, theres basicalyl instantly no need anymore for Tokens, other than to waste them with exotic stuff to instantly salvage it for materials like ectos and dark matter now.

There has to be simple more rewards in future, to keep the players interested in those tokens for the unique rewards that you can get only with them.
Theres no problem with it with adding all the listed up stuff in my last posting.

All just cosmetical things and fun items, except boosters/buff items
However, the game needs also rewards, that you want to buy with tokens always, so that there is also some kind of “token sink”, that works always, liek for example the tonis that add more defense and attack power vs. the enemies of the dungeon.
Where we are at tonics, those dungeons could reward us with racial transformation tonics…

Play Flame Citadel, until you have enough Citadel Tokens (1000 for example) and you could get with them a permanent Charr Tonic to transform your character into a generic Charr with randomized fur patterns.

Play the Twilight Arbor and you’d receive a Sylvari Tonic ..
Caudecus Mansion > Human Tonic
CoE > Asura Tonic
HotW > Norn Tonic

Catacombs > Ghost Tonic
Arah > Risen Tonic
Sorrow’s Embrace > would have no Tonic, but instead items, that could be used together with the tonics to create with the tonics some new Minipets via Mystic Forge

Human Tonic + SE Items = Mini Master Ranger Nente (with his Ghost Wolf)
Charr Tonic + SE Items = Mini Gaheron Baelfire (with animation to transform into his “God” Form)
AsuraTonic + SE Items = Mini Subject Alpha
Norn Tonic + SE Items = Mini Claw of Jormag
Sylvari Tonic + SE Items = Mini Nightmare Tree
Ghost Tonic + SE Items = Mini King Adelbern
Undead Tonic + SE Items = Mini Giganticus Lupicus

Something like that I’d love to see gettign implemented.
Would give players again a big incentive to play all of the dungeons, not just only for the quick gold, exp and karma …

It had nothing to do with leaving groups. I completed 4 dungeon runs and then got locked out from joining any more groups. Yes I know the devs are human so don’t be condescending. No comment on the rest as I usually ignore it. Thanx though.
