hi, just thought i’d chuck something in the mix which i think would bring a huge new element to the game, basically to add a pvp feel in general gameplay and to add a GUILD WARS flavour you could have a hostile guild system in which 2 guilds (or more) could mutually decide that they dont like each other.
the result of this would be members of said guild would show up in the game world as hostile when encountered!
in most games this would result in high level idiots killing new players in low level areas, but with your levelling to zone to keep it interesting concept this wont be an issue.
rather than have a guild battle system implemented in the future, guild leaders/officers could organise battles in a chosen map with a hostile guild, this also does not rule out lower level players joining in the fun! (pick a lower level zone to do battle).
im not saying dont bring in guild battles with objectives, this is just a another way for all guild members to get involved.
sorry if i havent worded this great, hopefully you understand what im getting at here and can see the potential to add a huge replay or keep playing element to the game.
a couple points to note.
*zones dropping your level will reduce the butchering of low level/ new players.
*you can decide you dont like a guild and then start killing them, it has to be a mutual
decision by both guilds, add a menu or something to list hostiles/allies
*as you can represent more than 1 guild maybe limit or put a time limit on how often you can switch guilds, so you cant switch and jump some poor guy!
*if you want to be in a certain guild but dont want to be attacked by a hostile guild you could set your status as peaceful, again have a cooldown on this so you cant swicth and kill.
i hope you can see the potential in this to add a true guild wars feel to the game, i know the guild wars are well and truly over but we cant all be good guy heroes 24/7…..
