The faces of humans and norn women all appear like a really beautiful Barbie dolls. The human males look like ken dolls. Something about this feels very “plastic” and "fake "whenever I see these extremely beautiful faces everywhere. For future models, please introduce average looking faces. They don’t need to be comically ugly, just not so perfect looking.

As for body types, it’s understandable of the need to be fit since we are out fighting monsters. Perhaps certain secondary sexual characteristics could be toned down for certain models.

This is why I enjoy asura and char males because they’re not your run-of-the-mill super good-looking heroes. Some of them are downright ugly. But that’s what makes them so cool, it adds a certain sense of realism and back story. “Like everybody’s story, it’s written on the skin.”

My human looks like Clint Eastwood. He is not a Ken doll. As for bodies, chubby is always an option. Mine is simply out of shape. Not quite moobs out of shape, but he definitely has no definition.

But if anet makes plain faces then most people will choose the prettiest faces anyway, at least for females they will. Just look at the female Asura. The vast majority are the same 2 or 3 faces. The cute ones. How many of the noncute female Asura faces do you see? There is one homely female human. I never see that face.

If people aren’t going to use the homely faces, why should ANet take the time and money to make them.

I would LOVE to have a fat blob norn warrior, I would buy a character transformation kit for it!

But most of all, I would LOVE to make my charr look like a fat cat

And my sylvari would look like a bush if it had that option

BUT…. I think that promotes unhealthy eating. And that’s not healthy. Stay fit, stay healthy, live longer and have a higher quality of life.

I will agree on the note that the character creation needs more diversity when it comes to body types. The only reason why I didn’t make a norn female, or a human female is because there’s no chubby body type.

If Anet wants to put ugly faces on human males I’ll be glad to send them my picture to model them from. Of course any characters modeled after my face would also have to come with it’s own passive fear skill.

yes… still perfect-doll Ken. Alternatives are only the Clint Eastwood face and the Liam Neeson face imho. Better alternative: Norn. (Edit: oh, Liam Neeson face is a Norn option… nevermind)

Let’s see the facts:

• Character Generation options are very limited
• There is no scale-slider on hair, body parts, etc
• Pre-made options not really reflecting the race enough
• They have plastic/toy doll look
• The animations are boring
• Emote items and basic sound effects are missing

AION allowed us to make mutch more unique characters,
even if you don’t like the style of that game.
