Achievement Point Spending
These points are special. What if we can get special items?
Like trading these for gems, special skin weapons and armors, special ability to get inside somewhere, or to buy non-our-faction items?
Even better, these unlocks should came after we earn’d titles, and not losing these points (because it shows some skills, so players can trust in us checking it).
Achievement Point Titles
Not one of my best ideas, I admit.
But maybe it sounds good enough. Collecting these points are a good way to… collect something else. Shouldn’t it called “Fame”?
Titles given:
• 100 AP = Newbie
• 500 AP = Local Dude
• 1,000 AP = Achievement Collector
• 2,000 AP = I’m in game!
• 5,000 AP = 5k Madness!
• 10,000 AP = Grandmaster
• 25,000 AP = Veteran
• 50,000 AP = VIP
• 100,000 AP = Legend of Tyria
Dungeon Titles
As a conqueror of the place, we’ll be:
• Ascalonian Catacombs = Ghost Knight
• Caudecus’s Manor = Royal Guard
• Twilight Arbor = Dark Hobgoblin
• Sorrow’s Embrace = Steam Powered / Steam Punk
• Citadel of Flame = Flame Rider
• Honor of the Waves = Ice Breaker / Ice Cold
• Crucible of Eternity = G.E.N.I.O.U.S.
• The Ruined City of Arah = Death Knight"
Yearly Achievement
Why not? With high goals, it should be fine.
Task 1: 100,000 Kills
Task 2: 100 Kill Variety
Task 3: 200 Completed Daily Achievement
Task 4: 8 Completed Monthly Achievement
Task 5: 500 Players killed in sPvP and WvWvW
Task 6: 1000 Achievement Points earned
Task 7: 500 Items sold in TP
Task 8: 500 Events completed
Equal chances to get: 20 Black Lion Chest Key, 25 Fine Transmutation stone, 5 Rare Dyes, 20 Random Booster Stone, 500 Gems, 200,000 Karma.

its should be more detailed achievement system for dungeons, for example if you did one dungeon for million times, others (in that dungeon) should see that, maybe some kind of mini icon when y select character , some kind of color coding witch means how many times you win this dungeon
Well, if completed all path, sounds logical. I don’t know if its worth the effort tho.

Splitted Daily already added. It would be better if they use the Elegant alternative tho.

I really like the idea of different shouts, depending on your personality =)
nice ideas. In particular, important features like Commanders should NEVER be obtainable through mere money.
I like the whole different lines for different personality choices thing and love how you’re actually suggesting that the rich aren’t automatically in charge. I’ve always been a bit peeved when my server deems my advice useless because I have other things to spend my gold on than a flashy badge.
Also, I wouldn’t do honor badges quite like that. I was thinking it would be after a certain amount of time playing in-game actively, a certain amount of kills(badges or no), and a certain amount of captures/successful defenses/gold event medals achievable by both and more, you’d become a Lieutenant(Different colored text). Players then pick who they want to be commanders(you cannot pick someone in your guild or on your friends’ list— you can, however, abstain from voting entirely. This removes from play the popularity contest/big-guild domination BS. You can only vote on one character(this applies for your account) and cannot vote on servers you’ve switched to for a period of three weeks(to avoid people trying to vote down good commanders to mess up opposing servers).
Any critiques to my take? I made this on the run and I want constructive feedback. I’ve got similar goals to Pred in that I want it to be less money-oriented and more skill oriented.
For the record, I’m not trying to usurp your throne in this thread, Royal. Your idea is a vast improvement over the current system, I just feel like it would be a pain with honor badges as they can be hard to come by on some characters(Namely my support character that doesn’t really do killing)

@ Frosty: Those “certain amounts” are easy to track through PVP kind of Level/Points.
You would be able to track it precisely, collect it with every worthy move you do, and can spend it for whatever you like.
( Staged and selectable rewards are also a good point here )

After “There will be no more Ten Kill Rats”, and Dailies are just about Kill (amount) Something, I still suggest to use my “Elegant Daily” alternative.

Just a reminder on AP Chests:
After ~10k, Zenith isn’t a noble offer.
By big title steps: Precursor, Precursor, Choseable Legendary (Why not if someone achieved 25k+ points??)

No it doesn’t and you just demonstrated you don’t actually know how the game works.
I’ve ment Badges should be a sure point, not RNG drop. I’ve killed thousands of people and only gained ~25 badge on the last week. How fair is it? It isn’t.
