Right now it seems that events have a minimum and maximum reward that they give out.

Right now at level 80, I can do a level 5 event, and get 243 karma, 1s 20c as a reward or do a level 80 event, and get 378 karma, 1s 86c as a reward.

Because of the caps preventing karma and coin rewards for events from going to high or two low, regardless of the level of the event (it seems to be based on character level from what I can tell) there is little point in doing the higher level events, (at least for the direct rewards, unlocking vendors or dungeons are still a factor) as the karma and coin reward differs very little from low level events, and the high level events tend to be harder anyway.

My suggestions:
decrease the minimum karma and coin reward
Increase the maximum karma and coin reward
Adjust Karma and coin rewards to be more in line with the difficulty of the event
Add a bonus reward for staying with an event chain from beginning to end, or for staying several steps in a row of the same chain.
