The problem with the infinite tools currently is that once you buy one and soul bound it you are locked into that animation. You can buy another tool and swap them but that gives you an extra tool that becomes useless and takes up space.

My solution is to sell “blank” endless tools in the gem store for 800 gems and animations for the tools for 200-300 gems. Similar to how a legendary works with stat swapping you would be able to switch between any animation you have unlocked for that character or account preferably.

It solves the problem with people wanting x animation on y character and has potential for more sales for collectors. Those who have bought multiple tools don’t loose anything as the endless tool is still 800 gems just make all tools account bound after the patch until equipped so you arent stuck with 2 on one character.

It is just a rough idea but what are your thoughts on this.

Make them account bound and able to be copied.

If I can’t play Guild Wars 2 at work, I won’t work in Guild Wars 2 either.

Considering the amount of topics about the gem store and how it is the spawn of the Devil himself, I find the recent topics like this one pretty humorous. It seems a whole lot of people would be prepared to again spend cash on the same tool, for a different visual.

The problem lies in the tool itself doesn’kitten Account bound tools would not have had this problem, but alas it’s too late to turn back now. The damage is done.

Well, a simple and clean solution would be to make the infinite tools permanently equipped (there’s no point in taking it off anyway right?) unless a different infinite tool is equipped. This would return the other tool to account bound so you can swap it to a different character.

But then again, some people would complain about not being able to unequip tools, for whatever reason.
