I’d say to keep the puzzle PvP but take it out of the WvW section.. Too many people want to do the JP when there is a queue to get into EB and then they want siege placed inside to defend against other players. You get siege from the puzzle, you should be able to place it yourself, of course then you burn supply that people need to repair and upgrade towers, keeps and supply depots..
If they want to keep it in the various battlegrounds then have something strategic in it, remove the commendations so you only get serious players out there, or make it a seperate zone not counting against attendance in the BG itself.
OP, it’s a pvp zone, so while it is in a pvp zone expect other people to camp it and collect loot form dead bodies.
Having said that, JP has NO place in wvw and should not be there. If they have to have it then it should only be accessable after each 50 kills, once you enter a timer starts that kicks you from wvw after 30 minutes if you are still in it, and it should NOT reward badges.
If I want dungeon gear I am forced to do dungeons, if I want fractals stuff I’d have to do fractals – if you want badges you should be forced to participate in wvw.
Only going to wvw to do the JP affects your server’s ability to compete in wvw, and if you don’t compete the world buffs you gain from wvw will be less, affecting your pve experience.
Having the JP adds an adventurous PvE element to WvW, luring in players who normally aren’t into pvp content (like me!). Personally, the JP in EB made me engage in WvW a bit and even check out and enjoy sPvP because of how meeting foes in the JP often forces you to duel. It’s another measure to keep the game from feeling fragmented into PvP/WvW/PvE. Most of what you get from that chest is badges and siege equipment, anyway. If you’re farming it for badges to get your Gift of Battle – well, it’s a Gift of BATTLE. Gonna have to battle for it.
