kick from guild option shouldn’t be in the “right click in party” menu.

it should be available only in guild menu.

reason is it can be confused with kick from party easily.

I am going to have to agree since I accidentally kicked a friend from the guild the other night doing this.

It did not even give me a warning.

Oh my that is definitely not good placement to have kick from guild in any location other than in the roster.

I came here to post this very topic. I am a GL and accidentally kicked a member from the guild while trying to kick them from the party after they had logged out. If GW does keep the “Kick from guild” feature in the right click menu of the party window, PLEASE add in a confirmation dialog box.

Agreed, anyone who sees this and thinks the same please 1+ for attention so that Anet can add this on their to-do list.

Same thing with ranking up / ranking down. Mistakes are made way to easily.

This has been mentioned many times before since launch and I do hope it get’s fixed soon. I have almost kicked guild members numerous times and once I actually did.

There should be at the very least a confirmation box, also perhaps reword the sentence because it’s identical to kick from party. Sure it’s in a slightly different place but that’s not enough to not make the mistake very easily.

Ideally though it should only be an option in the guild roster, it shouldn’t be part of the party right-click functions at all in my opinion.

Aye! I was that person who got gkicked. It allowed me back in the guild but I have to remember to represent on all my toons. I played for several hours before figuring that out. Please as an officer of a guild, I don’t want to accidently gkick my mates.

I don’t think being offensive towards others is particularly helpful.

It’s nothing to do with not wanting to read, I love reading. It’s more an issue of being distracted with other things while trying to organise your party. Surprisingly guild leaders of big guilds have a lot of things they need to juggle between while playing the game. The times I recall nearly making a mistake was when I was really tired or just woke up.

Either way it’s an easy mistake to make, even if one likes to read. One does not need to be illiterate to make such a mistake.

I agreed that this is a change that should be made: either remove the option or add a confirmation.

I can’t tell you how many times i’ve accidentally done this… even to guild officers haha. Made me feel like crap but of course they just got right back in. But i do agree it should only be accessible from the guild page.
