make it able to enter the mist when defeated
While not having enough coin for a rez is a problem, Beta is just that, Beta. You can’t just let people circumvent a gold sink in a live game. There has to be a penality of some sort.
If you die and you have zero (0) coins on your character you can use the closest waypoint to resurrect yourself for free.
I remember the thrill of unlocking a waypoint in GW1, knowing that if I got creamed by an enemy, I wouldn’t be sent as far back.
Now, I unlock a waypoint, and never touch them unless I die due to the price.
I think they should remove gold from the bank if not enough is onhand, and if not enough in the bank then just let people rez for free.
there is a already a armor repair fee as a death penalty.
why add another if the defeated character wishes to return to the heart of the mists?
Personally, I vote we get rid of the multiple waypoints active at one time. It takes away from the challenge of the game. In GW1, the waypoints were few and far in between. If you died in the middle of an area, you had to start all over from the last waypoint, which could be on the other side of the map area. Not only that, you’d rez with a 10% (?) debuff to your stats that you had to earn your way out off – dying sucked in GW1 and you did all you could to avoid it. You needed to plan out and use a bit of strategy when engaging foes. You actually had to stop and plan out a route – sometimes, it was worth taking twice the time to move through an area, if you could avoid a mob path.
The numbers of waypoints in GW2 are too numerous and, IMHO, take away from the challenge of the game. Why worry about dying when I know that I’ll rez just a few feet away? Broken armor? I’d rather take damage armor over taking a 10% stat debuff! Most of the time, I’m in an area where I’m scaled down anyway – I could fight naked and still not really struggle. Hell, I do that just to make the game a bit more challenging in certain intermediate level areas.

ughhh well the way point fees are considered very expensive for my level 80 warrior.
my level 80 warrior has been walking, not using those way points unless there is no choice. no choice as in defeated and there is no friendly players nearby to revive my warrior.
for new low level characters the way point fees are still reasonable though.
anyway i still believe that defeated characters should be able to enter the heart of the mists freely.
