The living stories seem to revolve around a new threat every month. A new band of bad guys shows up and needs to be fought.

I would like to see another formula applied, at least every so often. Maybe something that isn’t so spectacular but more character based and, of course, with more story to it. I know the writers can do this because there are already small stories everywhere.

Yeah the game lacks narrative focus which the living story really isn’t helping much with. Baddie of the month is fine from time to time but it shouldn’t dominate the content. There neeeds to be a build up of something really big and interesting.

Hahaha! ‘Threat of the month’, very well put! XD

I do kinda agree. The story telling in GW2 is becoming very dull and flat. I never feel involved. I’m kinda sick of how most of the characters are so one dimensional, they’re either a good guy, or a bad guy, and no where in between.

They introduce these new people, and we have no time to get to know them, to learn to love them, or hate them, to learn their quirks and get suspicious. They just throw them in, a few quests later, ohemgee they’re a bad guy with an evil organisation behind them! WE MUST KILL THEM ALL. ELIMINATE THE ENEMY.

More character depth please!

I’d like some in-city raids…
Such as dragons attacking lion’s arch, rendering the entire zone useless for any of it’s functions until the threat has been destroyed. For instance, kill off so many opponents in that amount of time to force a dragon/whatever to show up, making itself available for attack.

That kind of stuff would make the game interesting… I’d imagine running around the streets of DR just fighting off mobs to make the area useable again. Noobs will just have to find somewhere else to do their shopping… Claypool village for instance?

Yes, just NOT Lion’s Arch. ANet makes every god kitten thing happen in LA. And the result? Lag fest. My loading times into LA were bad anyway, with the Dragon Bash, people are waiting upto 2 minutes for me to load in and out of LA.

They should implement this content in other cities in the world. Places where people do not need to zone in and out of constantly.

That’s the thing though. My thoughts were that since people can’t do their business in Lion’s Arch (Vendoring, banking, mystic forge ETC) they would be forced to go to various other cities in order to do it. Then again if it happened in any other town, they would be forced to leave lion’s arch in order to do it. I guess both things could work, I don’t care eitherhow as long as I get an attack on a city at some point. The great collapse comes to mind…

The OP is correct, I would like to see some actual writing.
Less: bad guy → we kill the bad guy – > new bad guy

And more plot, intrigue, mysteries, and character development.
