This is mainly because I find Necromancer to be the most underpowered class out there, especially at level 80. and the minions really don’t do much except get dead instantly in dungeons. just for some back story, I have played necromancer on GW1 since I started, 6 years near abouts, and necromancer on GW2 since launch.
My first idea to improve the minions is to give blood fiend a passive regeneration for your controlled minions. This will make it easier to keep minions alive and from dying so kitten easily.
Next it comes to the wells. seeing as though the necromancer is basically put into the role of support damage. the actual support spells don’t last all that long. At least in GW1 the wells lasted for 30 seconds to a minute and were much more use than a 5 second duration and 40 second cool down.
Better damaging spells! compared to GW1. the necromancer is severely hindered by the ability to do spikes of damage. Sure the dagger and the axe have decent damaging skills. but it doesn’t really add up to that of other caster classes. and on top of that the Necromancers heals are just so worthless.
so to summarise. I find that necromancers are severely underpowered than what they should be, its hard to survive without minions, that die so quickly anyway, but they do do the damage required. and when it comes to fighting toe to toe your heals are barely sufficient to keep you alive. and the support role which you are forced into cause your damage skills are weak at 80, isn’t all that effective since your support skills aren’t very good.
my Mechanic suggestion is for dual wielding weapons. since when you attack with your main hand, the second weapon just sits there doing nothing but looking pretty until you use it. so here is my suggestion. when duel wielding add a 4th attack to the auto attack which incorporates. or uses the second handed weapon. just to give it something to do, and look much more awesome in combat.
also. give elite Luxon armour on GW2?
