No, we don’t. You play a lot I can tell, a lot of us don’t and are nowhere near what you’ve got there, kudo’s for achieving it though. It would upset the balance very much. The priority lays at getting the balance as best as possible before introducing new professions.
From what i read in an interview it seems they are planning to release new professions, but they won’ t say when :<. Anyway i just wanted to add that all my chars are fully equipped also estetically….3 of them have full cultural t3 and 3 others have krytan armor bought from black lion trading post and the remaining have most of the t3 with some pieces changed because i didn’ t like it also weapons have been chosen to follow the type of the character…for example my sylvari thief wich uses Venom skills has the medium krytan set wich has the point of the skull purple to represent poison and orrian weapons wich drop putrified water that looks like poison. Btw my achievment point right now are 7.5k and they are still growing fast.

upset the balance? might wanna take a step back and listen to your self this game is pretty balanced.

Well if this formula is to be followed, WoW should have about 20 classes by now?
ArenaNet has stated that they don’t plan to add new professions until they identify new play styles that are not covered by the current professions. A better approach would be to identify play styles that you feel are missing from the current game and how that play style is not covered by the current professions.
Oh, there are alot of play styles missing in GW2, which could sort of get introduced into the game by adding to the currect classes various different “sub classes” to improve the actual basic elements of the current 8 “main classes”
The new update politics is perfectly made for adding something like sub classes to the current classes to improve all classes slowly step by step and adding to them new ways of character progression, which are really needed in this game, so that our characters can become alot more individual and unique as to increase also significantly the game#s build diversity also …
Examples:
Mesmer:
Mesmer could be easily improved with sub classes that add gameplay elements/mechanics that resolve about things like “Music” (Bards), Psionic Skills (Mentalists) or “Fencing” as a new unique type of sword fighting style (Fencers), when looking at the style of fighting like Mai Trin does (Rapiers/Epees) as they are also part of the very first mesmer concept art of GW1
Engineers
They could greatly improve them with a sub class, that is way more specialied around Alchemy (Alchemist) adding to them some kind of “Homunculus System” that allows them to summon alchemical created magical creatures.
They could give them a Inventor like sub class that specializes instead more about technical stuff (Technician) and instead works more with “drones” and various kinds of “inventions”
And on the other hand could be a sub class, that resolves more around environmental weapons instead that change their weapon skill sets (Tinkerer) and chargeable skills, that have different effects in regard of how long the players holds down the skill button, until it gets released.
Guardian
The guardian could be improved with a sub class, that specializes just on more new virtues for example (Patron).
Or instead one, which is far more specialized on augmenting, supporting and buffing allies based on the environment, or the weapon being used with weapon spells, armory spells and augmentations (Augmentor)
Then again the guardian could go also more into the way of dealing damage and specialize into tormenting skills that protect others more effenciently, so more the enemy does something and can seal enemies using Oath Skills (Partizan)
Thiefs
Could get their venom and steal mechanics get improved by giving them a a specialized sub class for that (Rogues).
Their stealth and trap gameplay could get massively improved as they should get as sub class the option to become (Infiltrators)
And the crowd control and manipulative/debuffing condition gameplay could get improved by adding to them as 3rd sub class the (Saboteur)
Rangers
Rangers nature magic gameplay needs a massive improvement by letting them become as sub class (Druids).
Rangers should specialize more on trapping and damage dealing as (Hunters) become able to use their pets also more efficiently to hunt down hidden enemies
Rangers as melee unit should become as 3rd sub class (Skirmishers), for that kind of sub class to understand its gameplay, just play Dragons Dogma and play a “Strider”, then you know, how a ranger that improves on melee combat should be like in regard of its gameplay…
Necromancers
Necromancers that improve themself in death magic should evolve per sub class into (Ritualists) being able then to summon all kinds of unholy creatures, be it undeads, be it spirits or be it demons, which need special Blood Rituals to be summoned.
Necromancers, which evolve per sub class into (Witcher) are specialized into curses and could receive as unique mechanism back from GW1 unique conditions that work under “Hexes”, that would be conditions that can’t be so easily healed like normal conditions.
And lastly a necromancer could specialize itself more into the occult skills of chronomancy and astral magic by becoming (Visionaries) that use also tarot cards to manipulate the fate. using also the help of time aspects (spirits) to control with them the past, the present and the future in a supportive or offensive way.
Just some examples, too lazy now to post also stuff for the warrior and the ele xD

Oh, there are alot of play styles missing in GW2…
Such as? Outside a dedicated tank capable of holding aggro or a dedicated healer – neither of which will ever be added to the game for obvious reasons – what style of play isn’t presently available to one or more of the existing professions?

Eh. It’s not. There are still big gaps between classes. You can’t be serious.

think outside of the stupid trinity …
All of the classes in GW2 have so muhc unused potential to improve their gameplay with new gameplay mechanics, new skill types and so on, new trait categories, improvements on their main gameplay mechanics, like adding for example a kind of “Stalker Mode” for a thief, that is specialized as an Infiltrator, whose stealth and trapping skills are superior over a thief for exmaple, that is specialized as a Rogue, which is again superior in its gameplay mechanics around deathly venoms and steal mechanics, where an Infiltrator would be inferior in compared to a Rogue.
A Saboteur on the other hand is mediocre in both of that, but instead is superior in debuffing and weaking enemies, interrupting enemies to prevent them doing something and so on and has for example better superior ways of killing/destroying environmental things, like for example an engineers created towers….
I vote Ritualist.
Summoner. You don’t attack. All your weapon skills and F key skills control actions of the creature you summon. The F keys I suppose would be used for different pets you would sort of equip to those keys. And where the weapon skill bar would be would be what the pet’s attacks are. That’s the only thing I can think of adding that isn’t covered by something else. Yes necros and eles can summon creatures (that suck) and rangers have pets, but they also have their own attacks. A summoner would only have their summons to attack. utilities would probably be stuff that would support the pet.

yes yes yes! pirate’s! with shouts! Yarrrrrr!
Actually there are dedicated healers and tank. Did you try a pure defensive build with warriors using banner? It recives 3 different kinds of perma-regeneration and 3k attack, defense and an enormous amount of vitality. I think it s a tank, right? Now add that you use Mace-Warhorn there you have your perfect tank with knockdown skills and AoE buffs. If you want an healer then simply do a Guardian with Toughness,Healing,Power as stat. He will have with full ascended items around 1.5k healing and as traits put 30 in Vitrues. That’ s an healer that surpasses healers of other games.
Btw i wanted to add that right now i m leveling my 10th char to lv 80. A DPS Guardian (yes you read right) and in 3 days i reached lv 40….
1: No need for new professions yet.
2: Fix & Upgrade the existing ones first.
And if you want a race change but people saying its impossible:
It is very possible. Why should it bother our story line at all?
Would be new unique experience. And then? Nothing wrong with it.

It’s not impossible, just a lot of complications.
For instance, taking your personal story example – I don’t see how an Asura would ever have it’s own warband, much less be part of the Iron Legion.
About a new race it’ s obvious that Tengu will soon be released. Every new living story is taking us nearer and nearer to theyr home town (wich btw is near Kessex Hills while theyr starting lv1-15 map is at the left of Lion’ s Arch) and Tengu also were planned to be one of the initial races of gw2 and also by reading theyr story and such it s obvious that they will soon make a move.

I actually think A-net is ealready working on a new profession…they are just waiting the right time to add it…they must first make a lot of preparations for it so that it doesn t waste the balance. I was just thinking about a certain profession….the Chronomancer…it culd actually benefit a lot from this new Torment condition…and actually none of the current professions can stack it well apart from Venom Thief.

Don’t mind, no1 else will notice these “lore springs”.
I think I’m charmy enough to be accepted to some of the Charr Legions
It is a fantasy, and I would say, it is very likely possible to don’t care about a 0,001% non-charr member of a legion, or else.
The factions we can join are not-so-meaningful, and those are mixed too.
I still highly standing at the idea of upgrading existing professions instead of making new ones. I don’t like the idea that I’m restricted of things because I’m a Ranger, for example. These are very old and outdated laws of the fantasy. A “Revolutionary” MMO like GW2 shouldn’t force this.

I think professions are already upgraded enough. You can virtually do everything with any profession by using the right build, you won t do some things as good as another profession but you can still try.
