1) With the ability to play as a child of any race. The only profession you are allowed to have is a healer.
2) With choosing said class and profession you accept that you will never be able to attack anything yourself. You will only be able to heal your allies.
3) Oh no, can’t attack…. never fear this is where the good stuff comes in. You get to chose a pet. And that will be your companion for life. And no other.
4) Your pet will give its life to protect you. That being said, the child is invulnerable to any incoming damage. And will never die.
5) If you think there is a problem here, oh no there is more. If you pet dies you fall to your knees in grief and must way point to safety to save your pet.
6) OK so if you think there is another issue, nope got that covered as well. When in a party, you are able to cast healing, lots of healing and only healing to players in your party. And when your pet falls as long as your in a party, your healing becomes null and void until you resurrect your pet. Once your pet is up again, you may begin to heal your friends again.

So basically an immortal class that can only heal and has no attacks?

Yeah, it’s not going to work.

Neat idea in theory but will never work, too radical and would likely take too much to implement, though I agree, playable children would be a nice addition. The true way to overcome people not wanting to see children die is to make a race that’s 100’s of years old(like the elves of lore) but child-like only in appearance. As for the healer thing, while I strongly agree that a healer class is needed, unfortunately it would feed back into the “trinity” of healer/tank/dps that this game is trying to steer away from in order to pioneer it’s own idea of group play.

Children in lingerie and a ridiculous healing concept? No. Just no. This post riddles with immaturity. When Tera went F2P I was interested(for the action combat), then I got in game and saw these little girls running around in lingerie amongst other races as well; even men. Children running rampant through the game will break immersion. GG korea, you’ll never make a decent mmorpg or game for that matter, Ever.

Guild Wars 2 is not a sequel to the original Guild Wars but merely an alternative story setting.

other than the fact its impossible do to neither Sylvari nor Charr lore supporting it. Anet wouldent do it on the basis that it goes against their philosophy of breaking the trinity

Sylvari grow in pods on the Pale Tree and emerge fully grown. This is the only way to make a sylvari since they don’t reproduce.

This must be a troll post, play as children who can’t die and a dedicated healer class? No way. Also, creepy.

“As soon a cub is weaned, around being a year old, they enter a fahrar of one of their parents’ legion. The fahrar is the cubs’ first warband and they are trained as a military unit under supervision of an adult and are considered an adult when the warband no longer needs supervision.” This would put charr children in isolation for a fair amount of time

As for the Sylvari they are born from the pale tree fully grown and there is no way for them to reprodce as stated "Sylvari emerge fully formed from golden fruit pods which grow on the branches of the Pale Tree. Their “gender” is selected by the Pale Tree prior to emergence and is distinguished by the same features as human genders;2 while sylvari can and do have sex, it is not for reproduction as sylvari can only be born from the Pale Tree." therefore no sylvari children .

Both are possible.

First, at your character creation screen, give your character the most babyish face ever. Second, set the height to the lowest. There, you have a child character.

For a healer, get a Guardian, Ranger, or Elementalist.

5x Warrior, 5x Ranger, 4x Elementalist, 4x Engineer,
4x Necromancer, 3x Mesmer, 4x Guardian, 4x Thief, 4 Revenant

Think he means a dedicated healer class, not a dps class with some minor healing capabilitys on the side.

There was another recent thread regarding being able to play as children:

Then what is ranger doing in there? Only skill (other than healing skills) I could find that does any healing is the elite; Spirit of Nature. But that’s just for a minute, then you have to wait four minutes until you can use it again
