order armour should be 'Account Bound'
transmutation (which won’t work because the armour can’t be moved to a different character in the first place).
Here’s how it works currently:
Buy the order item on whatever character has access to it.
Get a white item of the same type. Like, you can just buy the cheapest stuff on the TP for a few coppers.
Transmute the skin onto the white item. It will say “soulbound,” but that’s fine.
Put your transmuted item into the bank.
Log into the character that wants to use the item.
Open up your bank. Even though the thing says “soulbound,” notice how it doesn’t say “Soulbound to another character.” You can take the item out of the bank and transmute it again to put its skin on a different piece of gear.
hmm. that’s a lot of unnecessary kittening around though.

Yeah, it’s kind of an “exploit” (though a harmless one that they shouldn’t ever try to fix). I just thought you’d like an explanation of why people say it can be done already.
point well taken ^^ & i thankyou for the advice! at least if I find myself desperately wanting this armour even after it seems unlikely they would make it account bound, I’ll know that there IS a possible way to get it.
I’ll keep whinging at arenanet until I get tired though haha!
i have the same “problem” I joined the durmand priory, for the story, didn’t know that vigil cloth armour looked amazing, but now my other problem is that i received 5 fine transmutation stones when i was around lvl30, and never seen any more of them, regardless of 100% map for instance (bad luck?) so I can’t do it without them and it’s rellay just annoys me

I actually just tried this (with the gloves just to test it out) & after I transmuted the skin & stats to the white item it still remained soulbound to my other character u.u; sigh.. I’m trying to work with you arenanet, I really am, but you’re making this impossible. & I want my pretty armour skin kitten
yes I mad.
also mad I just wasted a fine trans stone too.
totally spamming but commenting again to take it back.
I used a blue peice of armour for the transmuting rather than a white peice which I think stuffed it up.
I used a white piece instead & it is now account bound <: (yay!)
although. seriously arenanet. make order armour account bound on purchase.
you’re doing my head in.

Well, glad it worked. There was one eye-catchy bug with transmuting, so i wouldnt be surprised if they have fixed that workaround already. Seems like they only addressed issue with cultural armors.

oh wow haha. well I haven’t had a chance to actually apply the skin yet (want to get some nice stats going to put my pretty skin onto) but I’ll definitely bring it up if it’s an issue.
