every time i post something on forum i get bunch of gold selling ingame mails so please disable this 4 digitsin nicknames

I am not really inclined to be your honeypot for catching goldsellers.

Not only that, but when you chat in /map, you can see your nickname by hovering the mouse over or someone can run by you and target you and add you to friends list and it reveals the nickname. IMO nickname should appear in group/guild/shared friends lists. Adding someone to friends list should require a confirmation from the other person, I’ve looked at the “followers” list and saw a couple names I’ve never seen before.

That wont help on here. They can get it in game when ever you chat. They see that there. The gold sellers are a pain I already have over 30 blocked.

i got mails only when i write something on forum… i gues there are some crazy bots scanning this site

I got spam in game well before I was posting here.

I seem to only get them when I am in Lion’s Arch. I have reported over 30 of them myself.

Please do hide the numbers if you possibly can!

I don’t mind the 4 digits in the forums, it is no different from websites that require a unique username.

However, i fully agree that the same account name should not be publicized in game.

I do like the fact that guild members join on an account basis not each individual character. This reduces a lot of confusion of who is who and much easier transitioning to and from guilds.

Perhaps allow a separate account based username in-game… something along those lines.
