[Quick-Edit] I understand there are some cameras set up floating around.. but clicking on them one at a time to change view is cumber-sum and annoying. I want to be able to scroll with my WASD/Arrows keys and zoom in and out with my mouse. To seamlessly travel and follow fights, not a massive amount of clicks that make me want to give up and follow a single person around.
Spectator mode need a camera that allows us watchers to “free float” around the map, and for all intent and purposes float up into the sky.
This way we can get larger views of fights, and most of the map. So we aren’t stuck into just seeing what a single group of players is doing.
It would be far more interesting. Even if they had to make it “time delayed” so that we only saw what was happening after it happened 5, 10, 20 seconds ago.
Granted, there is one if you get it glitched to not give you someone elses view. But you can only see about 40% of the map currently and there is no option to move around in it. Which is a big problem, because honestly… spectators want to ACTUALLY spectate and watch the matches.
If you want this to be an eSport you need to not only cater to the PvPers, but you have to cater to the Spectators.
eSport PvPers don’t get paid to just fight 5v5 with no one looking at them. They get paid to draw a crowd and keep a crowd entertained. If they crowd cannot see what is happening, or sit where they want to sit (that’s why some tickets are more expensive than others) than why show up?
