Guild Wars 2

I used to be a huge fan of MOBAs (games like LoL and Dota2) and in all of those you had the option to view a replay of your previous game. The sPvP in GW2 is almost a first person version of those games, so I was wondering if having a replay downloadable for sPvP matches would be a possible addition to the game (thus getting rid of need for a third party program and reducing lag/connection required).

This would be great, but would probably require a major re-design and put much more strain on the servers, that said I agree it would be great, it would also be good for e-sport as well as catching cheaters

I agree very much. If you ask me, GW1 was also a moba, even before the term came into widespread use. I played GW1 for the PVP almost exclusively—If the MMO aspect of GW1 were removed, you would be left with a game that I would still have played. In fact, the experience would have been the same for me since PVE was something I did out of boredom. Not because it was bad, it’s just not for me.

GW1 had an easy way to spectate a variety of near-live games, but I don’t think they ever made it so a person could replay a match in the way you can with LoL today. I would be very surprised if GW2 didn’t have a spectator option considering their aspirations for e-sport status. No activity can ever be any kind of sport unless it can be appreciated by spectators.
