i logged in hoping there weren’t still a lot of DEs in a bugged state and sure enough, they were bugged. the 40-50 zones were ok until last weekend and since then (and even after the bug fix patch last night) have been a mess.

then my character gets stuck in a loading screen

then 50s of auctions disappears

then lag/dcs set in

game went from “perfectly fine for me” to “unplayable” right now. if you want to seriously compete with WoW, you HAVE to fix the majority of these little things asap. you are not being held to the same standard as WoW because it’s the incumbent. it gets free passes on the bugs it has which isn’t fair, but ask Bioware if fair pays the bills when everyone jumps ship in the window of 3 months.

Gamers NEED competition in this market and so far nobody has really put a dent in WoW in the US/EU markets. Rift’s release was the best i’d personally ever experienced, and i’ve played every AAA mmo since EQ. GW2’s launch was smooth overall but the past week has been bad. i’m not sure i had an issue until the past week.

I’m gonna keep up to date on the upcoming patches, hoping all the broken DE and quest mobs get fixed soon but in the meantime i have 7 days of free WoW time and i don’t like wow, but at this point being goofy in /2 > than my gw2 experience. whatever you did the past week made a lot of things worse.

We all want this game to succeed and put enough pressure on the market to take a step forward that WE THE CUSTOMERS benefit from as well. MMORPGs are in a rut and have been since WoW blew up in late vanilla.

We don’t need new shiny features right now, we need what you have already implemented to work and we need it to work for everyone. Take up that slack. Bioware never could and it killed what i thought would be a successful game.
