If you don’t do this already you should temp ban people who misuse the report function. One example I saw recently is threatening to report people who take supply from keeps/castles. People need to know that the report function is for real issues and not because someone is playing the game the way you don’t want them to.

No, please no. Keep temp banning away for something as silly as a misuse, away.

Not to mention your griefing your team by stealing resources for upgrade. I remember when I had a tower right in front of the spawn point of another server on a borderland and people would steal every resource possible do build more siege weaponry (had like 10 arrow carts for a keep !??!)… while only me and my guildies spent gold to upgrade that tower and escorting dolyaks only to have people take and take resources.

I don’t have a fix for this, but currently wvw is a mess because of people just being random and not working as part of a squad.

Not only that, but the reporting options are way too limited and because of this oversight, AN probably has to take more time to verify that a report was legitimate. It would suck to be temp-banned hastily by someone who revoked it at a later time when they did a more thorough job.

Same , i was spamming to form a group , then people say … im gonna report you for spam , from time to time i actually spend time telling them there is a spam preventing system , so i wont get banned anyway , other times i just laugh at their faces.

I have seen guilds organize mass reports that get people insta-banned for a few days. I don’t think anet even investigates if they get enough reports about something.

I believe there’s already measures against misuse of the report function.

I think that repeated misbehavior will get you a warning, then it may get even worse.
