How is being invisible while finishing any worse than going invulnerable (notice invulnerable and invisible are two totally seperate things)? Also thieves are supposed to be quick. Its a burst class.

P.S. You forgot ranger quickness. That was the only major nerf to quickness. TW has a long cd and can hardly call that a reliable quickness.

P.S. Invisible =/= Invincible. Don’t expect to press 1 and suddenly win, thieves are predators if they are good. When you find a good thief you will know the difference between them and the kitten hs spamming thief that does just about nothing because you can easily immobilize them and walk away.

yeah, thats why I dont know why was TW so nerfed, and invulnerable is only for like 3 sec, so still thieves are overpowered

If a thief uses stealth for a downed finish, then players should be attack spamming the downed player. I’m a thief and use the knowledge of my own class, along with the superior striking power of my sword, to ensure whatever thieves may be standing there for a stealth finish wont be. Or they die, I don’t care either way.

Please learn the class before crying nerf, it’s ignorant.

Maybe the suggestion should be to nerf this individual player until he learns to play before crying. I’m tired of only seeing this stuff on the forums.

So apparently the majority of players cried enough about the stealth to have it nerfed, and yet your still getting beat, so now you want to nerf them further till you can beat anyone playing the profession. This is why it was a bad idea to nerf stealth, you nerf one thing and then all of the sudden they want something else to be nerfed. How about you just learn to play against the said profession like a adult and stop crying like a baby.

I don’t understand, they nerf thieves more than anyone and yet kids cry uncle. Yet the bunker ele in pvp is dominating the meta and they sneak past the player base’s eyes better than a thief. How is anything about that water and arcane trait line fair? I remember d/d ele being unique and rarely used but now those people can’t play it without being called out.. such a shame. Anet seems to not wana nerf what is no doubt the most broken profession in the game but they’ll nerf the squishiest of them all to please the few people who can’t seem to l2p. Sounds like a job for the Mystery Machine!

I feel for thieve’s. They need their stealth for multiple reasons. It removes conditions and allow regen. I don’t think the thief is O.P as it looks on paper. However if your prepared to take 30-40 hours out of your life and dedicate this time to sPvP..then basically, yes..a well traited thief w/ good hotkeys will melt 17,-20,000hp in 4-6 seconds.

The biggest problem with thief and why people don’t like about facing this class is that there is a tonne of players that just have a real crappy play style with them. They play a brainless style of heartseeker>cloak and dagger>backstab>rinse-repeat. If they wittle you down, they stomp you..if they fail to, they stealth and run away.

The average thief in WvW does not give my Guardian any trouble. I can usually handle them easily, even three at once. (that did happen) However a real good thief will put me down, thankfully these are few and far between. Then again a real good anything can put me down be it an engineer, a mesmer or even a ranger.

It all hinges on how quick you are to think and react versus how quick they are. At 58 my reflexes place me at a disadvantage but I can still out-think many! Having characters of each class so I know how the enemy works helps in the latter!
