the lack of waypoints is one of the many things i dislike about wvwvw. i fight my way to stonemist, die, and then my only choice is to go back to the very start.

it takes about 5-7 min simply to run back. it’s so incredibly annoying that when i die, i leave wvwvw for the day.

ain’t nobody got time for that crap.

Bristleback can’t hit anything? Let’s fix the HP bug instead.

A big complaint even during beta, but the reasoning is always the same in the end:

If you could easily tele back, death wouldn’t matter.
It would seriously unbalance everything.

There is already a 3 part solution:

1. Stop dying so much. If you die often enough to QQ about this, try gearing a non-glass cannon build maybe?
2. Build the waypoint at your keep. This reduces the distance.
3. Run speed buffs. We all have them, use them.

it kinda is true, wvw is just like running around in empty map and get yourself killed, run all over again
i understand its done due to give the defenders some kind of bonus, but its so annoying i really would prefere it otherwise

yeah, stopped RvR because of that.

Run 5 minutes, get killed by 3 walking dudes.

Fine, happens.

Come back, take a bus in the teeth. Run again, life 5 minutes and get killed again. Class canon or bunker, when you’re against 5 others you just die.

Or run, and die 200m further.

While I understand ANet position on this, RvR isn’t fun and is bus vs bus 90% of the time if you don’t want to die like an innocent and cute kitten.

Here is how I think the waypoint system should work for WvW

When you capture a location, you gain a WayPoint to that hold. If the hold is under assault the WayPoint is locked out as Contested just as they are in PvE durring Events.

This would reduce the time spent running back while also making capturing and holding keeps of strategic interest. With the WayPoints contested while under assault it prevents abuse through spawn rushing. If you die, you will have to spawn at the next closest available WayPoint to return to defending your holds.

The best solution is to have ppl reiv other ppl and not just go all in attking the other team. Now i would like to see the skills that only revi downed ppl to pull full downed ppl to your sport giving you a use and making sure that the dead body are in a much easier to get to for your team.
