Hotjoins are much more zerg-y to be able to get as many points as possible (farming glory). With 8 people on a small map, it’s bound to happen, so try to backcap them if they decide to group up and hit mid as a group of 8. Solution we’ve been suggesting for a while: remove hotjoins.
Tournament matches have the occasional team that decides to zerg points. Solution: run mobile classes and secure the other 2 objectives all the time. Either that or learn how to do a proper 5v5 teamfight and get your whole team there to help you.
WvW will always have zergs. That’s the only way you can assault a keep/tower/whatever.

the fix would make guarding nodes grant glory, but theyre too dumb.
LOL the fix to this is make hotjoins 5v5 or make it so the hot join maps are a little larger. Like Trusty Turkey said Tourny’s sometime gets the zerg team and because the team size is not large enough to compensate for the zerg it usually ends up in zerg to point A other team back caps Point B and has two at Point C. When the zerg hits point C the two hold them off and one back caps point A. Eventually the team that isn’t zerging ends up wining.
In WvWvW it is expected as it is set to a grand scale war, like again Turkey said it is the only way to over come keeps. But that is such a large scale map that a zerg can’t control the map like a zerg can on small maps
For wvw, I suggest removal of 5-player aoe hit limit. or at least it must be increased to 10/15. aoe skills are always anti-zergs.
Not needed really, in any WvWvW fight you have at least 8 people that can AoE, that is a potential of 40 targets. Some may over lap but they are not going to be up if all 8 overlap on one target. So in turn you can still break dowkittenerg, with the existing AoE
