Iv played a couple of sylvari characters though different story line and never have I seen anu confirmation that the fern hounds are created by the pale tree or not.

The wiki says they are but doesn’t give its source. So any one have any dialog that at least hints at it?
maybe they are just another plant creature like the oakhearts.

Also, any information on the summoned husks the nightmare has. Where are they from?

If i remember correctly, there was a(n asuran?) theory that the Pale Tree was planted on the grave of a human, and that is why it makes all sylvari human-shaped. Maybe the human was buried with his dog, and that’s where the Pale Tree got the idea from for the sylvan hounds.

Except that theory was debunked when you do the Sylvari personal story quest where you find a Sylvari from a different pale tree.

Also yes Fern Hounds are born from the pale tree, I believe if you go up to where the Avatar of the Pale Tree is, there is a Sylvari training the Fern Hound puppies.

A Fern Hound is a specialized plant created by the Pale Tree that mimics a dog. They are born from the Pale Tree in the same way as a sylvari, but are not self-conscious as the sylvari.

Yeah, i thought that theory might not be correct because of that, but hey, what if that other sylvari's tree was also planted on a human grave? We still don’t know for sure

A-net confirmed in an interview that sylvari are the Pale trees representation of humanity. We don’t know if it is an intentional representation or not. How this relates to That other sylvari , we don’t know. Also, fern Hounds were confirmed to come from the pale tree in interview.
