So quick question,

Why is there no more giant crab after defending the tower from the Undead? I’ve heard stuff about treasures being glitched and such, but, I’m just a little curious as to why the change. Been waiting a while for the forums to open up, and just forgot all about it up until now.

Does anyone have the answer?

I know there is an event when the Risen attack the area and slaughter moas. As far as I am aware after that comes a Champion Risen Hylek or something, not a crab.

That said, there is a giant crab nearby, maybe the boss is random.

There used to be an event where said crab came back to life and attacked, but I haven’t seen that event since Beta.

I think they scratched the giant crab event and replaced it with the Champion Risen monstrosity, as the crab has only been there during the betas. Too bad tho, I liked it.

Oh I was just wondering personally, I think I had already gotten the idea that it was scrapped, but I want to know the reason “Why” it was scrapped. As I’ve said, I heard something about the event treasures being glitched or something, and was just wondering if we’re ever going to see the Crab again. I thought it was a better event personally more so then the Hylek Monster thingy. Not that it’s not challenging at lower levels, but I think somethings are just best left alone.

We went from fighting a Giant monster which “Kind Of” felt epic, to something that just comes out of the water, and you don’t get the chance to use your “Underwater Combat” anymore.

I think I preferred seeing an event underwater earlier, then later.

Yeah I miss that giant crab. He was my first underwater fight in the game during the betas.

We totally need a giant enemy crab. With a weak point. That we can strike for massive damage. Because that joke never gets old.

The crab is still there under the water, you can dive down and visit him while he naps, but the event doesn’t happen anymore. I think they took it out because too many people QQ’d about not having enough underwater skills unlocked…despite there being an over-abundance of water you can easily reach before that area to unlock it…but whiners will be whiners I guess, we all pay for it. That crab event was a lot of fun, way more fun than the hylek. Also just to point out, we did pull him out of the water a few times so it wasn’t strictly limited to underwater combat.
