Anyone else think that the glow on our sylvari are too dull? i clearly think so. When i saw the glow, i thought it would be something a bit more impressive… instead, we have a little lightning bug sized glow. anyone else agree?

You try your slider? i had to turn mine down to just over midlevel to get the effect i wanted.

yea…. still, id rather have a glow thats really bright, yet not too bright so it looks un normal.

Un normal? We’re plant people who have an inner glow. We are the new normal! ;D

Glow seems fine to me.

It’s different with certain hair and faces. My Sylvari is pretty strong/bright blue in the dark, throughout his hair and face.

Full intensity ftw

This is my Sylvari with glow on full intensity. At some instances it’s so bright she could be a flashlight. I guess it depends on what colours you pick.

Full intensity orange. My engineer works all night without needing a light source.

I always go full intensity on the glow slider.

My female ranger has the “ponytail” type hair and it has like no glow. So covered with medium armor she’s pretty glow-less.

My mesmer on the other hand, has dark blackberry “skin” and a vibrant red glow with a hair style that displays a lot of glow too. So she looks quite good at night. Very easy to see the effect.

I’ve often thought about using a makeover kit on my ranger just to get some sort of glow going. But then I realize that a) covered in a trenchcoat all the time won’t show much and b) rangers kinda suck atm.

Erm… I play on the lowest settings, so the glow doesn’t show up for me most of the time. But, I stupidly turned the glow down on my first character. At this point I’ve forgotten what my glow colour is (I think it might be gold). I suppose having most of his body and face covered by armour doesn’t help.

But on subsequent characters I learned my lesson and they have maximum glow intensity. My Thief looks like a Branded phoenix red Sylvari and when he shows up in cutscenes in dark areas, the inner part of his mushroom glows beautifully. Highly ineffective for stealth, superbly effective for intimidation.
