In my dream, I saw a powerful, mystic forge, capable of melding together the strongest materials in all of Tyria.

Since awakening, it has been my Wyld Hunt to craft my very own legendary weapon from that forge. However, as a Guardian, I am left at the cross-road whether to walk the path of Day and Meteorlogicus, or walk the path of Night and Twilight.

My fellow Sylvari, what weapon will aid a Guardian more in the fight against those who threaten Tyria?

Heavily depends what sort of guardian you want to play?

The dark looks cool but the white is much more sexy. All girls will follow you if you pick that one.

Normally I am not a fan of threads like this where it is only a matter of taste, but I will give you my personal opinion.

Personally, I only enjoy bright colored looks for Guardians, I never liked Guardians with dark armor and Twilight, for me it doesn’t fit. But in your case, I think the Path of Night looks better, (comparing the 2 screenshots).

Anyways, did you consider to get Sunlight over Twilight maybe? I think it could look awesome combined with bright armor. I never really liked Twilight, because it has very few reflections and less bling-bling for my taste. Sunrise in comparison really shines like the sun, much more eye-catching.

A general problem with Scepter is, that it is more a secondary weapon on the Guardian. I know some Guardians adjusting their builds in that way, to make Scepter their primary weapon, but that is your choice. Or some don’t have a problem, to get a secondary weapon as legendary. However, a Greatsword is a weapon, which you regularly use for much longer periods, therefore I would always prefer to create the legendary, which I can use most on my class.

The powers of darkness calls out to me.

I have placed my bids, and it is only a matter of time before all that is needed.

In preparation of this new weapon, all that remains is an epic training quest to earn my Bloodstone.

Once I am ready to hold Twilight, I vow to use its powers to protect The Grove.

Your choice. May the wepaon serve you well. But hope we wont meet on battlefield, else i will stop you prince of darkness.

Kain, you might think that you can control the power of darkness in a way to protect the grove, but with darkness comes only destruction! (if nothing else, darkness prevents you from seeing – so best case scenario, you’ll end up cutting your own arm or leg!).
It’s not to late to turn back and follow the path of light. Do it now, before the darkness consumes you completely!

Usually I’m a fan of contrast (makes or breaks a picture) but I don’t think the white really works for you even with the hair, it overpowers it if anything. It wouldn’t be as bad if there were more breaks in the armour for the black skin. I say the black scheme and make the red on the armour a shade lighter + brighter if possible (It’s a dull in comparison to the red on the sword and doesn’t stand out from the black enough). But I’m also partial to ‘breaking the rules’ as the white/ blue can be seen as very stereotypical or common for a guardian look.

At the end of the day, just go for what you want.
