How do I get rid of the green
Profession should not affect the look of your character (other than wether you can wear light, medium or heavy armor) so no idea what it is you are talking about.

Notice the difference? Sylvari Necromancers have a very ugly, pronounced green secondary color, whereas Mesmers have a barely-noticeable purple that blends right in.
Pattern color, maybe?

Unfortunately, that’s not the case. Tried it. :/
It’s also affecting the hair. I can’t seem to give a Sylvari necromancer black hair. It comes out as dark green instead – midnight ice and midnight fire do the same.
Have you gone to where you can choose your Sylvari’s skin pattern? You choose the color of it, which can cause the veins or patches of your skin to be that color. The glow color you choose may also be affecting the color tinge you’re getting.
I’ve got a white Sylvari Necro and she doesn’t have any green tinges on her face or her hair. My light green-skinned Sylvari Mesmer also doesn’t have any purple on her face.
to be honest, that simply looks like lighting.
Specifically the character creation lightning.
Create the character and go into the tutorial zone. I’m pretty sure it will have disappeared by then.

Would say it is the lighting too.

That. The lighting of the character creation screen changes to match the background / UI color of the chosen profession (EG Guardian has blue lighting, Necro has dark green, Warrior yellow, ect). It should have no effect on the character once you get in-game, unless you’re in an in-game area with similar lightning color.
You might also try turning the light off on the character creation screen (there’s a little lightbulb icon at the top where the armor / helmet toggles are). Might help you get a less light-tinted look at the character.
It was just lighting, though it was very strange that the effect showed even with the lights turned off in character creation.
