The new sylvari hairstyles are so amazing I could cry especially after I saw the one I wanted few months ago among them. <3 you t_t

I forgot to screen the 4th haircut, though ! It’s another version of the one looking like the heavy t3 cultural, but there’s flowers on it (those flowers don’t glow during the night).

I’m using exactly the one with the flowers but I assume the rose pigtails will be quite popular ^^

The new Sylvari hairstyles are indeed amazing. I really like the rose pigtails, the cat-tail ponytail, and the branch styles. Not too fond of the bark (?) style that covers half the face, but that’s just personal preference, it still looks relatively nice.

The only problem is now I have to choose one. Seriously Kristin, you are making this way too hard for me. I had finally settled on a hairstyle for each of my Sylvari after the last update and now you give me more great choices? Too much!

I really like the way the rose pigtails look, but I’m not sure if it fits with the “graceful but tough guardian” motif I’m trying to give my female Sylvari. Might be a little too “schoolgirl” for the character. But its still amazing looking… ugh. Looks or theme?

And my male is even worse. I’m already using and quite happy with the flower bud hairstyle from last update, but I also really love me some cattails so that new one is really tempting (especially since I stopped using the cattail hairstyle on my female Sylvari due to it being too common). And the branch one also looks very nice on him. Gah, choices.

I just realized the short haired one is kinda like Caithe’s old style but upgraded to the new Sylvari design.

All of them are amazing and I am particularly amused by the short bladed female one since I have that plant in my garden and it looks like that after a trim

My only problem is that I have 5 Sylvari already and now I have to buy yet more slots since I love all mine

I love them all! The branches seem oddly blurry, somehow, like they came out lower rez, but the concept is gorgeous. I also note that varis sneakily got four styles. The glow is best on the spiky ponytail imo, the ends are brilliant.

Sorry for not having better colors to display the do’s, my time was a bit short for taking all the pics so I kept the white leaf/yellow glow my guardian usually sports. Other colors really pop more. The branches are your skin color, btw, and the hair color choice dictates the flowers — those can be vivid indeed.

+1 to the above. Best hair update ever!! I’ve always wanted the T3 heavy helm look on my thief, and now I can! Really really wanted the gnarled-roots style, I don’t think I could’ve asked for more.

The glowing streaks is also a nice touch too!

Just wanted to chime in and say that the new Sylvari hairstyles are really nice! I wasn’t planning on making a new Sylvari character, especially a female, but I really like the gradient colors on one of the new styles. Nice work!

So happy. I have wanted to makeover my first sylvari characters for ages but kept using all nice options for other characters. Now however they got to grow up! A bit. They’ll get more attention from now on.

And can’t help but add more screens, loving the short hair especially and those idle animations can be amazing. <3

Edit: Oh I would’ve loved to change a male character to the new ponytail one but that one just doesn’t do Peach Sunset properly. Ah well.

I have a problem… these hairstyles are absolutely amazing!! I particularly like the branches with flowers (I’d been wanting a hairstyle like that for Sylvari for ages, if I’d had that option from the beginning I may have changed my characters up a bit) and the cat tail ponytail (as much as the pigtails are cool, they’re a bit on the too Scarlet-esque side for me)… but I don’t have a character to put them on! I have one character of each profession, I want to do stories of each race, and I don’t think the hairstyles will fit my Sylvari Mesmer’s theme and I already changed my Sylvari Engie’s hair to the awesome fern ponytail.

I…. need an excuse to make a new Sylvari character…. even then I’d have a hard time deciding between branches with flowers, branches, or cat tail ponytail… though I’d probably go with branches with flowers since I love the oaken helm and have been wanting a hairstyle specifically like that for awhile now (adorned long branches). So glad to see it’s in game!

Personally, I don’t like the new hairs. All of them feel like a cheap re-skin of already existing hairstyles. 2 of them is clearly a minor modification of sylvari heavy cultural armor’s head piece. And two, almost identical looking slots wasted on it? The one with the flowers actually look pretty, but the other one should have been replaced with something else instead. The “on the side emo” style hair was already aviable for female sylvari, just slightly different. It’s bad, but definitly feels cheap and should be a party of the hairstyles aviable at start.Then the last is Scarlet’s hair which was there for months already, and got minimal modifications. If I like it or not, doesn’t matters at this one. It’s feels cheap, but some people really wanted to have it so I don’t complain. On the male side, it’s the same plus already aviable hairstyles done again 1:1 copy style, just with a different material / kind of leaf.

This, after the “greys” alien exclusive faces… god knows I’m all in for sylvari, love everything about them, the whole culture, philosohpy, their enviroments, the grove, the way they glove, everything. But I definitly start to hate the direction they seem to progress to. So far they got 1 new good looking face and hair (in the previous update, the long hair… and the one with the giant flower would be awesome too if from the front it’s color wasn’t identical to skin color).

With all respect, I must say you need to return to the… roots. Not literally. I wonder if we’ll ever get a hairstyle that welcomes every single GW2 player when they start the GW2 launcher.

I just had to have the branch style with the flowers.

So I gave it to my Ele- it goes beautifully with the Desert rose back- but it clips when she turns her head.

I would be in love with the rose hairstyle but it’s missing the hair infront of the ears, which makes it look really weird. :<

I still like my original “leaf” short hair style the best. But I always support having more options for players.
