i think your Wyld Hunt is to make the Pale Tree laugh.

This happens often when you mess with iris size in character creator. Just leave it in default and your eyes will be okay.

It’s called “lazy” eye. Hit your self on the side of a face with a shovel. Should pop it back into place, or at least make it so you might have 2 lazy eyes.

Yes, this. The same bug happened with my first Sylvari. I immediately remade her without adjusting iris size and all was fine.

Arenanet considers it a slur against disabled peoples. I actually used it in the original title of the thread (which is why I received an infraction). It’s a little silly, but I’m not about to argue the boundaries of potentially improper language. Perhaps it is a slur and I just don’t know it yet.

I think it’s particular to that face model, even. The other sylvari I’ve made don’t seem to have the issue.

No one is 20% or more cooler than Rainbow Dash. :P
And the name isn’t supposed to make fun of anyone, that’s what most people seem not to understand, in fact the character is one of the most popular in the fandom (in a good way).

Anyway, I’m getting off-topic so I’ll cut it here.

There has actually been some heated debates about D***y Hooves name. It’s considered an ableist slur, and even though it’s her name, that doesn’t make it unoffensive. Considering the original intent of the word was to make fun of the disabled, I can totally side with Arenanet on this issue, and considering I am myself disabled, I am quite glad they are actively working to make the forums (and game!) a safe space for everyone.

Also bravo Formis Sage.

Back on topic, I had the same issue occur with that exact Sylvari face. I immediately rerolled her and left the eyes alone, and didn’t have that issue again. It seems to happen if you make any changes to the eyes at all on that particular face. Luckily, she’s pretty adorable just the way she is, so I didn’t really feel I had to change her too much.

It seems the issue is fixed.

Ha! Thought I was going a bit crazy. Every time I would make a Sylvari and get it just to my liking in the char creator, I’d go in-game and then they would look strange… Something would always seem off about the eyes, but I could not put my finger on what exactly (my sylvari’s eye were smaller so it was harder to see this problem clearly).

I have never used this face, however, so it does not appear to be a bug with just one face model. It is definitely a lot more noticeable on this one you have used, probably because the eyes are so large on that model anyways.

Not sure this is fixed, though. Was messing around creating Sylvari today and I still noticed the eyes looked a bit odd when changing the iris size.

Yea, I made a Sylvari with that face and changed the iris size, and I didn’t notice this until about 3 or 4 days ago but I just hit 27 and don’t really want to re-roll to change my appearance (again). Logged on just now, and no it’s not fixed yet. Here’s to hoping it gets fixed or they add an option to change appearance or something…

To me it looks like one eye is fine, and the other ones shading/lighting is reversed

Also, it seems like the face option on the lower left corner causes this no matter what.
When creating a character I noticed it, when you’re zoomed in it’s ok but as soon as you zoom out the eyes appear to cross.

omg this just happened to me i was fine 10 levels ago but now i’m crossed eyed………………………………………

ok i just zoom in close to a wall and the eye its self is fine, (looks like a lighting bug)
