There is a serious lack of nature-themed back items in this game. The only one I have seen is the Fervid Censer (flower from Secrets of Southsun) but I missed that event. It seems like there is no available variety in visible back items without grinding in fractals or doing long achievements in month limited events. This is quite frustrating as I doubt another nature themed back item will be released for a long time. I wish they had more back models to choose from that were easily purchasable from dungeon vendors or the TP.

As a Sylvari, are there any nature-themed back items out there that you use?

There aren’t a whole lot of Back-item skins to begin with.
I love the Fervid Censer, it is really beautiful. But I actually use the Sclerite back piece, which is also from Secrets of Southsun. I think it’s kind of cool having tendrils coming out of my Sylvari’s back

I think on a whole the armour, weapons and back pieces need to have a larger amount of racial based designs. As it is if you want something Sylvari-esque you have to have either Cultural armour or Twilight Arbour Armour. If they were to develop racial inspired items that weren’t restricted it would be really great (then you could have Asuran magitech armour on a Sylvari for example).

I feel like Sylvari suffer most from looking out of place in their armor unless they are wearing cultural or twilight arbor. Outside of these sets it leaves almost nothing else for armor customization if you want to maintain a nature-esque feel to your character. Once I got the the twilight arbor set I stopped trying to get gear altogether. No point in getting better armor for stats unless you want to do FotM which is a grindfest. I just really which Arenanet would implement a much better and rewarding loot system. PvE is seriously lacking in this game for those that like noticeable and rewarding progression.

Id like to see a nature styled quiver for my sylvari ranger. Maybe have it made of tree bark with vines wrapped around it and hanging off of it.

The new Desert Rose back piece that will come in the July 23rd update should look nice; I am excited for it because I also missed the Fervid Censer.

I have the Fervid Censer on my Ranger and it looks awesome- suits her perfectly.
Just got the Desert Rose for my ele and I can’t wait that she is actually 80 to wear it.

I did think that the Dream catcher back pieces also suit the Sylvari well.

I was thinking about more nature themed back items and I was wondering what would look nice and not be a flower as such- haven’t come up with anything yet :P

I would kill for more Sylvari everything since the options for the best race in the game are very limited.

I got the fervid sencer and the desert rose, i swap between them now and then because they both look very good

I was hugely disappointed the Desert Rose was basically a recolored Censer and not, say, a cactus with a flower. Perhaps a barrel cactus. Nothing about it says “Desert” to me, its just a rose. If it were a cactus, on the other hand…

The Desert Rose is slightly different in that it has rounded petals, while the Fervid Censer has pointed petals. But yes, for all intents and purposes, it’s basically a re-colored Censer.
